We booked the Cornmill on recommendation and haven't been disappointed. Room was comfortable in an antique style with modern facilities. Excellent breakfasts and very genial and helpful hosts. Lovely peaceful setting. Would come again.

Would it be advisable to book a table on a Thursday evening? My son is 21 in May and does not like a 'fuss',I am looking for a 'nice' pleasant place to go for a meal which is just a little bit special for just the two of us (Mum and Son).

You will have to go out in evening I sugest The Royal Oak at Gillamor r The Crown at Hutton le Hole. I have used both. Enjoy.
