We stayed for 2 nights in a delightful room set in a secluded garden courtyard. The pub combines a traditional old inn with modern touches. The meals are delicious and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The village is charming with a stream running through it, well worth exploring. Dog friendly.

We stayed here Saturday and Sunday nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lisa and Ian, the proprietors were very welcoming and helpful. It was a fabulously sunny weekend and Lisa offered us a bottle of water as we sat reading in the lovely courtyard. She also brought me some decaf tea bags to the room when I'd asked for decaf tea...

Welcoming comfortable and friendly sum this place up well. Well located on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. The rooms are in the courtyard at the back of the Inn. They are small but clean and comfortable.

Ian and Lisa are very welcoming and the room had a comfortable king sized bed and was pleasantly decorated, with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The bar is very comfortable, although the red armchair and sofa are much in demand. A good selection of ales and wines complement some amazing food. I can throughly recommend the fish...

Didn't stay in hotel but did go for an excellent lunch....they have limited room kitchenwise and appear to spread bookings out so that you are not waiting for service. The food was excellent, very freshly cooked and nicely served. Bar service also good. Will return sometime

Expedia / Hotels.com list this Village Inn as "Fabulous" and no matter what websites you follow, every customer review is outstanding. We stayed for two nights with our little dog, "Paddy",and would add to the long list of customers who give this beautiful Public House and Accommodation 10/10 for everything. From the warm welcome on checking in to the delicious...

My wife and I enjoyed a two night visit to this country pub in the interesting village of Snape which is located between Bedale and Masham. The warmth shown by the licensee Ian, and his wife Lisa was in the best traditions of Yorkshire hospitality. We enjoyed the company of other visitors and locals who had interesting tales to tell....

A group of 17 of us arranged to have our evening meal here, and even though we were a large group Ian and his staff were so helpful and accomadating. We pre-ordered our food and it came out in perfect timing and hot! It tasted fantastic too, not like it had been sat under a hot plate. A few of...
