Only a one night visit. A lovely old house with much character to it but in great need for a good spring clean , a bit of d.i.y and then a good decorate. Clean bed and tasty breakfast. Off road parking.

This is a great guesthouse in Goathland. The bed comfy, lounge inviting. The hosts are very welcoming and accommodating. The downsides? The wifi didn't work in my bedroom (not a huge issue as I used the guest lounge) and the shower has that hard to remove mould in the shower but despite that everything appeared clean. Goathland is a lovely...

Carol is just simply wonderful. Nothing is a problem she will help you as much as she can. The place is spotless, the breakfasts is lush, ordered me some black pudding from the local butchers for my breakfast, now how many Hotels would do that for you. This is the 2nd time I have visited.

Peaceful surroundings, friendly hostess, Carol. A truly knowledgeable person able to advise on places to visit and access to those places essential if you use a wheelchair!! The room was ideal with plenty of space and a large wet room all level access. A ramp to the room is gentle and poses no problem. Off road parking with a dedicated...

The room was spacious and very clean, it had a massive bed which was extremely comfortable. Plenty of storage enough for if you were staying a week. Facilties in the room for tea and coffee. Towels...

Lovely family run little guesthouse. Very friendly people. Nice and quiet fantastic views and all set in the middle of heartbeat country. I believe that the guesthouse it self was used in filming. Lots to see and do. Wake up look out the window and the sheep are in the village to greet you.

We stayed at The Beacon for three nights at the end of May and can thoroughly recommend it. My Mum and I stayed in the annexe which suited our needs perfectly, with my brother staying in the main house. Each of the bedrooms was very clean, comfortable and well furnished. The house itself is a wonderful example of the Arts...

We have just spent a lovely long weekend in Goathland at The Beacon guesthouse. This was our second visit and we bought more friends with us this time. Carole was a great host and the guesthouse is home from home, with everything you need. Breakfast is everything you could want, including the (pre ordered!) black pudding. The house is in...
