This was our second visit to this wonderful retreat and we are already thinking about our next visit. The hotel matches its location perfectly, with a great food and views. If staying in Goathland, or the local area, it is certainly worth checking on availability.
On edge of village. Very comfortable en suite room, good breakfast, bar and restaurant can become crowded. Village is where a well known film series was made and many tourists pass through. Cannot think of anything more to write to make minimum 200 requested
We stopped for Sunday lunch here, we sat in the garden which is beautiful, very quiet and relaxing. Very nice roast dinner, big portion also. Very dog friendly which is a bonus. Staff were friendly especially the man behind the bar. Would highly recommend.
We was there for one night in July , the staff could not do enough for us also ate in the bar and the food was great along with the views from our room, will be going back again sometime very soon .Love the area...More

Sorry no dogs allowed in the mallyan spout, I was wishin to stay at this hotel but no dogs allowed bu close by up the road from mallyan hotel is rose cottage a pet friendly b&b, i stayed last year,the owner even does the dogs a sausage for breakfast.The cottage is very old and full of character, and immaculate and highly recommend. .
