We stayed at Shoe Inn for three nights in April 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sarah and Andy deserve the best if luck with this venture. Our room was beautifully decorated, comfortable, warm and cosy, a welcome refuge at the end of a day walking the New Forest. The breakfast did not disappoint and dinner was well cooked and...

I can't express enough how impressed we have been with Sarah & Andy since they have taken over The Shoe. We have been a few times now and they are making improvements week by week, what a difference to just a few months ago. Sarah is just the type of landlady the place has been missing for a few years,...

Stayed here for for a short break end of March. Sarah and Andy made us very welcome. They had only taken the place over 8 weeks before hand. Room was comfy and spotlessly clean. Food was excellent in restaurant and breakfast was good too, freshly cooked full English plus cereal and toast with tea, coffee and juice. Only downside was it...

Live local to this pub and thought we would give the place a try. We booked a table for 8 for Sunday roast. Incredible value. £9.95 For a beef roast with all the trimmings including cauliflower cheese and lots of it! Fantastic value and will definitely be returning again

We were a group of 6. Nice atmsophere inside. Good friendly service and lovely food. The cottage pie was quite small but very tasty. Would definitely visit again. Parking opposite is accessed by a pelican crossing. Just take care when leaving pub as it is close to a busy road.

Sarah & Andy the owners of the Shoe Inn are very friendly & welcoming. Andy is an excellent Chef, the menu was more varied & something a little different from normal pub food & was delicious. The room was clean & comfortable. The location is ideal for visiting the New Forest. Sarah & Andy have only owned the Shoe Inn...

Just outside Southampton we stopped at this roadside pub on our way to the ferry terminal in Portsmouth. Though on a busy road there is a large car park opposite. Adjoining the bar is a spacious and comfortable dining room. The friendly waitress took our order for dinner. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The desserts are delicious.

After a change of landlord - we gave this another go for an evening meal only. Good menu, if for adult tastes only. Decent table service. A good evening was had by my wife & I and we intend to visit again .

Lovely pub meals . Had a drink on Friday and checked menu. Other half said it was the best salmon she had had. I stuck traditional fish 🐟 and chips these were great as well. Wine reasonably price for a pub. Will be visiting again when staying in area.

We stayed on 24th Feb 2017, and what a great find. We were looking for somewhere to stay at the edge of the New Forest and The Shoe Inn is well placed for the North East side. This pub is under new management (January 2017) so please take no notice of the reviews prior to that date. The new management...
