This was our first stay, but the friends we went with had stayed before. We had the two front bedrooms, the green room and the pink room, and they did not disappoint, the beds were VERY comfortable and we all agreed we had a fantastic nights sleep. The bedding felt cosy, and was lovely to sleep in. The Red House...

Huge Victorian room, with king size bed which was really comfy. Ensuite had roll top bath for that real authentic feel. Beautifully decorated and well worth a visit. Very congenial hosts. It is not strictly a B&B, as they do not cook breakfasts, but a dining room is available for your own use which suited us well for cereal, toast...

This is the second time we have stayed at The Red House (the first time being a few years ago) and it was just as lovely as I remembered. Fran and David are very friendly and helpful and recommended that we eat at The Swan (see separate review). The atmosphere is very homely and laid back and you can come...

Stayed for one night and what a pleasure it was from booking in to leaving the next morning. Fran and David could not have been more accommodating and friendly, helping us to find a great restaurant for an evening meal. The room was spacious and comfortable and their breakfast is epic ! A guided tour of the wonderful garden topped...

This was our second stay at the Red House. Beautiful house and Fran and David could not have been more welcoming and attentive, and we felt priviledged to be given a tour of the gardens. We would definitely stay again.

Just stayed two nights at The Red House - Fran and David were thoroughly attentive hosts, the house was beautiful and immaculate and full of character, the rooms spacious, airy and clean, and breakfast was a real indulgence that really set us all up for the day ahead.

From the moment you arrive this is a real immersion into a comfortable luxury with an incredible sense of history. The house has been around for a long time and you can feel the warmth from the walls, the way that the floor tiles are worn from centuries of footsteps, the wooden beams in some rooms and elegant smell of...

We stayed at The Red House for two nights for a family wedding. The house itself is a beautiful Georgian building with wonderful character and sympathetically furnished in a very elegant style. The attention to detail is second to none; from the oh so comfortable super king sized bed (complete with goose down duvet) to the Aqualisa digitally controlled shower,...

We stayed there one night in July and just turned up. The hosts Fran and David are wonderful hosts and made us so welcome into their lovely home. I can confirm the cooked breakfast was beautiful with homemde preserves and rhubarb, which was lovely. We would have happily paid more for the night. The Red House is a real find...
