So good here we have been three times in four weeks. Lovely food and great staff. I like the thick cut of the meat and veg served separate so you can have as much or as little as you like. As standard you also receive a generous gravey boat.

This was my first visit here and I can honestly say, the food here was absolutely delicious. Home made chips were the best I've eaten in any restaurant/pub. I can't recommend this place enough. The staff were so friendly and made you feel welcome. They couldn't do enough for you. The chef needs praise too! Well done for your cullanery...

It is worth eating hear just because of the treacle sponge! Could be a venue for the Barnsley pudding club. The rest of the food was good but the treacle sponge was outstanding. Much improved venue "well worth a visit"

Jane has really brought the travellers up to date. The refurbishment is excellent. Modern, but still homely and warm. Great atmosphere in both the bar and restaurant, and can't fault the homecooked food for quality and value. Top tip: try some of the specialty gins. Brockmans our current favourite.

Recently refurbished pub that is serving excellent food and is good value for money. Eaten here a few times in the last month. The staff are lovely and the pub is warm and cosy. The portions are nice and big and the food is all home cooked and fresh. Definitely worth a visit.

We recently enjoyed Christmas Day lunch at The Travellers, it was the first time that we have visited this pub and we were impressed with the service and general atmosphere of this lovely traditional village pub. The food we were served was delicious and plentiful, fresh and not microwaved and we didn't have to wait long between courses, and the...

We called by chance as we have not been to Barnsley for some time. The pub is obviously loved by the owners as everything is beautifully decorated and spotless its a proper pub. We had home made steak pie which was absolutely delightful the meat was tender and the suet pastry was devine (Chef at the Savoy Grill take note)....
