Stayed here for one night. Staff were exceptional from check in throughout service at dinner and breakfast. My only comment would be the single bed in room 3 needs replacing. It's far too narrow and slopes slightly making sleep slightly sporadic. Food was great and reasonably priced, good beer too! Beautiful setting.

We were staying in a holiday property across the road from the pub. We booked a table over the phone and on arrival received a warm welcome and four of us are evening meals which were good quality. We also drank there on a separate occasion and agin received a warm welcome and the landlord was happy to explain the beers on tap etc. He also stated pub was full inside and we would need to use garden, also staying he could get us inside in around 20 mins if we wanted. Fantastic garden with river running beside it, covered area if required and plenty of seating. Stayed outside as it was a pleasant evening Would visit again if in the area

We stayed one night and had an evening meal the food was slightly above average pub fayre. The breakfast was very good. The pub gets very busy with locals who can be loud. The rooms directly above the bar with windows facing the road and beer gardens had noise till the pub shut. We stayed in room 4 which had the smallest bath room I ever seen, it was more like a broom cupboard. On the the plus side the landlord was was jovial and pleasant and the other staff were also very friendly.

We arrived without a booking and requested a table for a meal. Delightful greeting from the manager who directed us to a table close to the fire and gave us menus. The beers we ordered were excellent and the meals were tasty and presented with a smile. COVID precautions were in operation and we felt secure. Delighted to discover this excellent pub which is close to our new holiday home.

Just spent 2 wonderful days at the white horse inn with my wife. 10th -12th Aug. Fabulous setting, all the staff make you feel welcome from arrival and cant do enough for you. Food is excellent, good range and great home cooked portions. We would recommend staying here as it's close to local attractions including Dunster castle and a great base to explore. Bedrooms and bathroom huge and very clean, overall a return visit will be occurring to sample some more of this lovely pub and only a hour and a 1/4 drive away from home. Andy and Sharon Cooke
