Came here on recommendation from Mel at the hotel Cedar house, some really good food here. . I had steak and ale pie served with mash, my partner had gammon egg and chips, hearty portions and tasty home cooked food. . . Reasonable prices, two mains, two desserts with three drinks, £43. . Would recommend. . .

Have lived in the area for a number of years but never been to the White Horse and now I ask myself why! We went for Sunday lunch and it was very good. The accompaniments were especially good to the meat(which was plentiful but think it was pre sliced and kept warm which meant it lost some flavour) and overall...

Great little inn. Hosts were friendly and helpful. We had our two cocker spaniels with us which were made more than welcome. Food was excellent. Pork belly cooked to perfection. Liver casserole divine. Deluxe room overlooking the garden was more than adequate there was a massive bed. The room it's self huge. Brand new ensuite. Full English Breakfast spot on....

Third visit in recent months and as ever the meals were top notch, service excellent and ambience hard to better. The meals are excellent value for money and you cannot ask for more than that. The pub is just how I like pubs, rustic charm matched with unfussy traditional furnishings and decor. See you again soon Ian

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the service (very cheerful girl behind the bar) and prices were excellent and dogs are very welcome there. We will definitely go again when we are on holiday in Exmoor next year.

Stairs to accommodation are narrow. Windows are small but in keeping with the style of the village pub. Floors creaky but this...

This Old pub oozes charm, with low beams, separate areas, good beers and a list of local favourites to eat. It can get busy especially if the skittles team are in, as the alley is opposite the pub beside the river. The staff are helpful, friendly and work their socks off. The food is not High Cuisine, its good simple...
