We visited this Pub in February which was now under new ownership with our coach party. Every year we stop off for Sunday lunch on our way to Torquay this year was a nightmare our food was not only cold but slopped onto the plate so that you could not disinguish one vegetable from another. The staff were rude and...

Lovely pub and amazing food. Stayed for three nights and Sam the landlord was very accommodating. Anything we needed he sorted out for us immidatly. The pub is having a makeover and the rooms were due to have the same treatment. Once finished it will be amazing. Highly recommended!

Started off badly with a disinterested barmaid who clearly didn't want to be training another. Real ale was cloudy and off. Tried another one, which was drinkable but pretty poorly kept. Ordered two meals the same. Mozzarella mushrooms to start and fish and chips for mains. After nearly an hour we were bought one starter and one main at the...

Stayed here for a night as we were at a party nearby. Staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable but it was very chaotic and the rooms are in need of a lot of attention. Very old fashioned and musty, windows didn't open, spa bath didn't work . At breakfast we were greeted by a lad with a "wanna...

We were staying at the caravan site just up the road and decided to because we knew there was this pub, which means I don't have to cook but oh dear, wish I`d brought my own grub now. First impressions were terrible, grumpy barmaid never gave us so much as a "hello" whilst she was pulling a pint for someone, when it was our...

Not at all impressed with this hotel/pub which is run by Marstons. Turned up at 8.45pm & asked what time the food was served until & was told order now & it will be at least 45mins, went for a shower then 5 mins later banging on the door saying your foods ready. The curry was ok but the order...

Stayed here twice - first time was OK, but the second was much worse! The room door didn't lock, bathroom door only closes with the bolt across, and some inconsiderate fool was pressing the front door bell at 3am (not technically the fault of the hotel, but the only person who didn't wake up was the night watch staff!) Also...
