Travelling in from Edinburgh to London and this hotel was on route and available . Quite surprised at the decor of the rooms as the outside isn't much to talk about. It doesn't look like a hotel. Really needs a revamp. Pool area smells mouldy and not very clean but the pool itself is nice. Kids enjoyed it. Restaurant is...

I had used the hotel many times in the 70s and 80s whilst on business or at company affairs. I had always liked the place; that is, until the night of the 22nd of July. My companion and I booked a double room. The room was plain and fairly spartan. The double bed was two singles pushed together and most...

Dear kenwharton, Thank you for taking the time to write a review following your recent visit. I am somewhat puzzled as to your review, being of course as we are positioned very differently in the market place both in terms of offer and indeed price as the hotel was in the 1970s when it was built as a 5 star...

I stayed in this hotel for 1 night as an overnight stay on route to Scotland. Very good hotel with a fabulous pool and the best Tomato Soup I have had in a long time. Would recommend to all who visit the area .

One night in a pleasant room with decent chairs and (very important to me) windows. It seems that the local best western no longer thinks these are necessary! There is space for a six foot bed between the side tables, so why only small beds? Breakfast satisfactory, but self service, although decent bowl of fresh fruit. Pleasant staff. Not really...

Bed was lovely, very large. Food in the restaurant was great. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly. Showers very old and locks on the doors were hard to lock. Close to both Leeds and York. Ample parking. Not a great deal close near by so car an absolute necessity.

Overall we had a good stay though staff were excellent rooms are spacious clean and comfy. We stayed in for dinner at the bar and food and service were brilliant. Overall a good stay and a...

The exterior of this property belies the product. A recently refurbished and modern feel, a huge room and bed, and all the facilities you'd expect. Dog friendly and surprisingly large gardens and woods too. Our evening meal was very nice and the service was excellent. Wonderfully quiet especially given the convenient location. The staff are most friendly and welcoming; would...

there were three of us and we had asked for a triple room. This was huge with a king sized bed, double bed and single bed. We were delighted. Bathroom good, excellent shower very powerful, much more than in some other hotels I have stayed in. We arrived early, no problem, gave us our room key and advised us how...

The first glimpse of the hotel from the outside was not what we expected, it looked like the Crossroads Motel. Fortunately the inside was a complete contrast. The lounge, bar and restaurant were clean and modern, as was our room. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a family room which was not cluttered or cramped but had plenty...
