we stayed at the berwick lodge in the kappadokia room which was very large with nice ornate furniture, it felt like it could have done with a little tlc, and in need of a general spruce up our first impression was the whole hotel lacked tlc and the staff were ok, but not overly friendly or welcoming, the fan from...

This was a very comfortable and pleasant hotel situated on the outskirts of Bristol. Very attentive staff, lovely breakfast and highly recommended as a place to stay. The only downside was that it was difficult to get into Bristol center. If I will stay again I would definitely have one of their champagne cream teas☺

Fantastic hotel, great food, lovely, friendly staff and an awesome bed to sleep in. It was just a pity that we didn't have the weather to enjoy the gardens but that didn't spoil our stay. Fully recommend this hotel

I have stayed here several times and never been disappointed. Would highly recommend for business or leisure. Rooms very clean, comfortable and lovey and quiet. Excellent restaurant and a great breakfast. Consistently excellent and would therefore highly recommend.

Staff were welcoming on arrival. We stayed in Kappadokia. What a beautiful room. It was big and the furniture was fabulous. I absolutely loved the bath. The view out the window was fab overlooking the garden. Will stay again.

Six of us went here for afternoon tea, lovely location with great food and service. We gave prior advice of vegetarians in the party and they were very well catered for. Really close to Bristol but felt like another world - and one to which we'll return.

I attended a wake for a relative here, while the room was great with enough room for the 70 odd people that were there, the food was bad, teas and coffees with not enough milk and sugar, none were brought in to replenish so guests had to have both black, very over cooked scones chucked in bowls not enough jam...

Thank you for your feedback - whilst we listen and give our utmost to our customers at Berwick Lodge there are times when things do not always go according to plan sometimes through no fault of our own. Thank goodness TripAdvisor allows us to convey both sides of the story. I feel your comments are unfair and unjust, I will...

Parking right outside. Great as I am disabled. Friendly welcome. Panelled room with lovely squishy sofas, Views to garden with fountain. Champagne followed by an assortment of sandwiches, warm home made scones with jam and cream, lots of fancy cakes and a small trifle each. Plenty. Friendly waiter happy to take photos. Very enjoyable afternoon.
