A smart and stylish 4-star hotel just on the outskirts of Bristol and perfectly placed for exploring the south-west. Tuck into fabulous food in the 2 AA Rosettes awarded Curious Kitchen, or spend time relaxing in the amazing spa with 13m pool, hot tub, spa treatments, sauna and steam rooms. In the summer enjoy sipping cool drinks on the al fresco terrace and on colder days huddle around the real log fires with afternoon tea. Part of The House of Daniel Thwaites collection.

Having stayed here on numerous occasions from Oct 2020 through to sep 2019, the stay has always been good, the rooms do differ significantly and soon rooms are quite hard to get to as one part of the hotel is a bit confusing to navigate other than that, a comfortable hotel with good facilities, some of the rooms are in great condition while others do show a bit of wear and are slightly dated but still a good stay, would recommend the rooms near the pond with a small private patio, they are a bit bigger staff are friendly and helpful and restaurant is good if a little inconsistent with meals having had variations of the same dish from week to week

Came with a family member. Visited the gym (amazing) toilets in changing room were disgusting (female) hotel ones not much better. Cannot begin to describe here! Pool-very busy with spa guests! No room to move and not beds or space in hot tub, or lounge/eating area. Floor disgusting. Has gone right downhill since my last visit! Such a shame!

A friend and I met up here for a catch up. As others have mentioned, the hotel is on a business park, so no grounds or views. This was fine for us as we just planned to have some spa treatments, drinks and dinner. We didn’t stray from the hotel. The public areas are modern and welcoming. The pool looked nice, but we didn’t use it. We both enjoyed our spa treatments. The rooms were fine, with a good sized sitting area. The menu in the restaurant was quite limited and not very interesting, which was a bit disappointed. This might have been due to covid. Overall we had a good stay and would visit again under similar circumstances. It is very well located for motorways, which was convenient.

Stayed here in January. The refurb room we had was fantastic . Had everything in there that you would need. The food was outstanding and me and my husband ate everything little bit. We were looked after very well by George in the restaurant. Breakfast was the same. Front desk lady (I think her name was Sophie) was a credit to the hotel. Excellent customer service. Tess in the spa was very helpful and the poolside was very clean. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.

Finding someone else’s dirty socks in your room is not nice 😱 Breakfasts very very poor because they don’t do anything healthy and run out of items. If you like grease and sugars then you will be fine. Pool great when it’s not full of unruly kids. Don’t be fooled by the times that children are not allowed, they don’t always follow this. Shame because it could be something special. Gym great when cleaned and so are the fitness classes.
