Myself and my partner stayed for two nights in one of the refurbished rooms. I have been at this hotel several times over the last few years and the standard of the renovation is outstanding. Having stayed here prior to its renovation I must say the price you pay for the standard of room is amazing. The bed is so comfortable, air conditioning, STUNNING bathroom, plenty of channels on the tv and the overall look of the room is perfect. They have even changed the windows so you can’t hear the busy road at the front of the hotel. Staff as always are so friendly and helpful. Aaron who checked us in was so lovely and the manager Sian is so accommodating and runs the hotel perfectly. I would without doubt stay here again and recommend it to anyone. I’m looking forward to seeing it when it is fully renovated. Having said that, you also wouldn’t know that it is in the process of being renovated, unlike some hotels where it feels as if you’re staying at a building site. Ella x

The hotel is in the process of renovation. I originally booked a standard room, this was not a good room, in serious need of deep cleaning and renovation and would have not been value for money at all. However, thankfully there was a minor issue with the bathroom lighting and the staff kindly moved us to a refurbished room. This room was worth the money, clean and new, with the exception of the rain shower head which had not been cleaned or descaled, a shame for a newly renovated room. There were no restaurant facilities available due to the refurbishment, but a great pub is situated less than a minute walk next door. The staff were friendly and helpful, lots of evidence of Covid awareness on check-in. The car parking entry is easy to miss if your not concentrating but appears safe.

First off, I hate having to write a review like this..the hospitality industry has suffered during the pandemic, but there is no excuse for a place like this. So sum it up in two words : Truly Awful. Our room was dirty, the wallpaper peeling from the walls. The bathroom ceiling look ready to fall, the shower curtain was covered in mould. Light fittings with no bulbs in them...are you getting the picture? Noise from other rooms was awful, capped with two rooms upstairs shouting at each other at 5 in the morning. If I owned this place I'd get planning permission to build houses and sell it. The place needs demolishing. Budget hotels don't have to be like this...

If you would like to go to a hotel that has poor staff and gets your booking wrong, then look no further than this hotel. Our booking was messed up as they got the days wrong and had us down for Saturday to Sunday. when we were meant to be staying Friday and then checking out Sunday. The Staff were also very uncooperative given our situation and weren’t respectful at all. We had to be put in a mediocre room first night, due to this hotel mixing our days up and the hotel was poor. The door locks were hanging off and don’t get me started on the shower. The room we were meant to be staying at was a good standard. How ever due to our booking mix up we thought we were staying an extra day. Due to the fact that the hotel wasn’t clear enough on if we were meant to leave Sunday or Monday given our mx up. Furthermore, because of that, we were then left in a situation where the staff were demanding payment as we had stayed an extra night than we were supposed to. but given the fact that they are un clear on our new booking. We thought we were supposed to be staying an extra night. The staff didn’t handle this well and should’ve treated us respectfully and should’ve been more thorough on our situation. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Stay well clear.

No mention when booking, there were no breakfast facilities. Check in ok, went to room, it looked ok, only 1 night stay. Went to see family, came back for showers, then noticed all the dust on bedside tables, behind the furniture, lamp shades etc. There was a lot of notice during the night by other guest, above us sounded like they were drunk and falling over. Started again at 05.30 am.
