Both my partner & I have been trying for a few weeks to reserve a table at Headlam Hall for Sunday lunch, on the 13th February we finally manged to do so; we wish we hadn't bothered! I ordered a smoked salmon starter & my partner ordered the garlic mushrooms, even though they were tasty & the quanity was adequate,...

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times now with my husband and we have never been disappointed. Friendly staff that are always happy to help. Excellent spa with outside hot tub, steam room, sauna and swimming pool. We stayed in the floral suit the same as last time, lovely and spacious with a fabulously comfortable bed and newly refurbished...

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea with my granddaughter. The food was excellent and surroundings were delightful. The service was excellent and unobtrusive. I would recommend this and look forward to going again in the future.

Headlam Hall is situated in a peaceful part of the countryside. A lovely old mansion house with a very impressive spa. The rooms are roomy and comfortable and very warm. Staff are really pleasant especially the bar staff and porter. Food was good but I suspect not of the usual standard. Presentation was a little messy. The spa facilities are...

What a beautiful historic hotel with modern facilities alongside period features. I had the pleasure of staying in a Spa room with balacony which allowed swift access to the wonderful spa factilites (pool, steam room, sauna, hydrotherapy pool...). The room itself was very spacious, with little touches like robes and slippers to prepare for the spa, the bed was wonderfully...

Visited with three friends for a mid Christmas/New Year Spa Day. Fabulous day. Excellent value for money. Very well organised. Spa area was clean and relaxing. Food was excellent at lunchtime. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff looked after us very well. Even offered us a complimentary glass of prosecco when they were running slightly late for our...

We decided to have Saturday lunch here this visit, and in keeping with this establishment the service and cooking was first class, the set lunch is such good value with a good choice courses. We would recommend anyone to dine here we will certainly revisit when in Yorkshire again.

Having been disappointed back on Oct with our stay we decided to give Headlam another try. We stayed in the Lavender suite in the spa and the suite was really lovely with views over the golf course from the lounge area. We spent some time in the hot tub on the afternoon in the spa but were a bit late...

It was nine or ten years ago since we last stayed in the Gainford Suite at Headlam Hall; at the time we found the establishment somewhat... tired. However, despite not knowing it had been 'done up' we re-visited. WOW! A wonderful transformation, yet keeping its original charms; the room, lounges, dining areas, etc were very appealing. Then, there is the...
