Stayed here with work for one night. The hotel was welcoming, lovely open fires and decorated for Christmas. Bedroom was clean and had a nice lake view. The staff were all lovely and very helpful. Felt the food was lacking, especially the offerings at lunchtime which came with the delegate rate and also had better breakfast, buffet was nothing special....

Dear Scotland Travel - lover Thank you for your review, we have many 24 hour delegate meetings at Leeming, its a great opportunity to work and enjoy leisure time when the meeting is finished. I am sorry to hear you were not totally satisfied with the food offering, we continually review our menus and will take your comments on board...

My husband, 18 month old and I set off from Aberdeenshire to the South Coast to visit family and needed somewhere to stay en route. We arrived at Leeming House, were greeted by a much needed glass of sherry and made to feel so incredibly comfortable and welcome straight away. We all slept soundly and thoroughly enjoyed our experience, so...

The views were excellent from the restaurant, hotel staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely and clean. The weather was shocking but it didn't ruin our stay. We arrived during the floods and the sat nav was directing us to a flooded road. We phoned the hotel and they directed us through the...

The hotel was very quiet when we visited with only 3 other couples in the restaurant unless others ate much later than we did. This could have been due to the poor travel conditions. We felt the A la Carte choice was quite limited however we enjoyed everything we ordered. Very friendly helpful staff. Our only disappointment was the view....

We arrived at Leeming House straight after the area had been decimated by the floods and in the middle of a snow storm. We were immediately offered a glass of Sherry to warm us through and promptly checked in. Upon finding out it was my husbands birthday we were giving a voucher for a free cream tea. Which was appaling...

Sadly we were only here for one night on our way to Scotland. It seemed like a lovely hotel with a beautiful location...although the weather meant having to drive through some of the lake to get there! Unfortunately there was a fire alarm at 6.30am, apart from that we had a great night sleep in a lovely large room with...

Had booked last minute and planned to stay for 2 nights. Unfortunately due to a power cut in the area we had to change hotels to Windermere. The staff at Leeming House were wonderful and so apologetic and made the arrangements efficiently and it was a real disappointment to leave, although we would be back for the following night if...

We stopped here en route to Scotland and I wish we had been staying longer!!!. From the minute you arrive it just says old world charm but there is nothing old fashioned about it. Sherry on arrival, complimentary afternoon tea, drawing rooms with real log fires, lovely bedrooms with spectacular views.... I could go on and I will. Dinner was...

We have recently returned from a short stay at Leeming House. We have stayed at this Hotel 4 or 5 times and find it a lovely peaceful hotel in a dramatic setting. We had booked a basic double room, but were upgraded to an executive room, which was delightful. The breakfast and dinner were both very nice, nothing fancy, but...
