Initially there was no separate reception so we had to check in with the barman at the bar crowded with locals occupying the bar stools refusing to move. This was intimidating especially with the one local village smartie pants who kept interrupting the process with his questions about who we were etc. The room was adequate but the plumbing was...

My husband and I booked for one night bed and breakfast. Only quadruple room available which we took. Cost - £115. Didn't really like checking in at the bar where people were listening to conversation. Member of staff very friendly and took us up to room. Parking is in the Co-op car park across the road. Room disappointing. Bed incredibly...

Ok lets get it out of the way, the rooms need up dating and are showing ware, but you get what you pay for. The owners are pleasant and welcoming. The staff reflect this and are all local except for the Yorkshire lass at Breakfast who is great. The food is good, we had dinner as well as breakfast and...

Spent a night here on the way north. There is no on site parking, you park in the public car park by the Co-op. Throughout our stay the staff were very friendly and the food was good, very large portions. The room itself let the hotel down, it was very tired. The carpet needed replaced, the beds creaked when you...

Called in for dinner on Friday evening, had been staying up the road all week and just hadn't fancied it, looks slightly tired from the outside, but once inside, it's lovely, a traditional pub feel, quite busy, 10 mins later and we wouldnt of been seated , arrived at 7pm, friendly welcoming staff and locals too, excellent food, good value...

After a long walk on the beach we were hungry on a Sunday! Last time we visited (a few weeks ago) we had either missed it or it wasn't on but delighted to say Roast Beef was the Sunday Roast and it was yummy with just enough veg (nicely cooked) with a yorkie and gravy. Thank you, it was delicious....

Excellent bar meal, very reasonably priced and good service. What more could you ask for? Nice choice of typical bar meals with really nice twists on the starters in particular. Loved the smoked salmon parcel with smoked mackerel pate filling.
