I stayed here as part of a large group of 9 adults. I had read the reviews beforehand and so was prepared. I stayed in mainly bunkhouse whilst doing the WHW and this is one of the better ones ! The beds were clean and freshly made, no problems at all. Very comfortable also. It is bunkbeds, but they are...

There are several rules in this place: 1. Check in is only after 16:00. 2. You must call the owner so he will come and open the room for you. 3. The owner is always late. Even if you have a reservation he would sound surprised that you arrive. 4. The place is just on the platform of an active...

Stayed here for one night. The place is crammed with triple bunks. Smells foosty. The bathroom had hair in the drain and toilet roll on the floor. The owner did let us have room to ourselves which was nice so I do feel quite bad. The cleanliness is reason score so low. Greed. Am sure could clean them up and...

We only stayed one night, but loved it. Of course this is not as comfortable as a hotel, it is a hostel after all, and on a railway platform for that, but it is cosy, friendly and has a lot of character! The common room is functional and there is drinking water on the platform, ready heated in the water...

This could be an awesome place to stay but sadly I am on verge of writing to Scottish Tourist Board to report this place. An absolute disgrace. Showers dirty. Sheets didn't fit the "three storey" bunk beds. Old dirty coffee cups on table in the "lounge". Of the 6 guests booked in, 4 left to find other accommodation. We camped...

Stayed here as part of the whw as no other place was available, worse decision ever!! The place is filthy, the bathrooms, were stinking, had not been cleaned in a very long time, smelled as though the drains were needing cleaned, floors were covered in dirt, and filth. Area with honesty shop was a joke, there was no drinking water,...

Avoid this place if possible. My friend and I were hiking the west highland way and had to stay here because everything else in bridge of orchy was full. We had to wait at least 45 minutes for someone to show up, the bunk beds were a mess and the bathrooms were easily a source of disease. They clearly hadn't...

This place has potential however is very dirty (found an old toenail in the bed), smelly (bathroom smelt strongly of urine), the mattresses were old and lumpy, there were dirty sheets on two of the beds when we arrived which were left there for our stay, and the carpet was mysteriously soggy. Would love this place to fufil its potential...

Very different accommodation but enjoyable. Accommodation basic and showers/toilets not top notch but don't let that put you off. Made to feel welcome and boiling water and snacks available. free tea, coffee and milk available.no hot meals but hotel nearby provide nice food. If hiking make sure you have food for following days packed lunch. would definitely recommend you plan...

Despite mixed reviews, i thought this place was fantastic. The landlady and her partner were very welcoming and friendly. Rooms were basic- mixed 9 bed bunk dorm. Clean with great working showers. Apparently they have had new showers have been put in - they have great temp and power. No breakfast or packups, but they do have an honesty shop...
