I was staying with a group of 6 others in a nearby cottage and went to the hawk and buckle for dinner on one of the nights. It is a small pub with lots of character and the food was very good, especially the chips! The landlady did say it is better to book though as she then has more...

The room was beautiful, spacious, clean and had a really homely feel. Breakfast was good and coffee was plentiful. no...

Charming Inn with a warm welcome by the landlady\head chef owner. Great home-made food in the evening and lovely beer. Comfortable guest rooms with views oner the valley to the coast. Homecooked breakfast that beats many 5 star hotels. This is a great place to make a base for visiting the other delights of north Wales - and there are...

Excellent place to stay, room was great with a great view of the valley beyond as well as the coastal area. Was the only guest on a Monday night, however still had the choice of the menu, food was excellent, both for evening meal and breakfast and a local cask ale to boot, would recommend.

This place is really a great find, despite the difficult access to the place on our arrival, after the first night roads were no problem. The owners were very helpful , the bedrooms very good , with breakfast and evening meals all very tasty. Into the bargain the weather for a three days visiting was great a lot of sight...

I absolutely adore this place. Awww from the hustle and bustle is this little haven of tranquility. Planned a long weekend in the Llandudno area to visit Bodnant Gardens, but hotel we'd chosen in Llandudno could only offer the Sunday and Monday, so looked around for somewhere for the Saturday night and found the Hawk & Buckle, 'in the middle of nowhere'. Great choice. Lovely peaceful location, lovely place, lovely countryside. Nice comfortable room (they have 7...
