The local postie Lucy, recommended this pub, stating that the food and drink was excellent, and the hospitality was great. Well she wasn't wrong. We arrived for for Sunday lunch and was greeted by a team of very professional, dedicated, and friendly staff members, and a lovely open fire. We were shown to our table and ordered our drinks which arrived within a few minutes, and then the waitress gave us ample time to look at the well designed menu. The food and drinks were amazing, and the service was brilliant! The pub and amenities was very clean and well maintained, and covid friendly. We will certainly be returning sometime within the near future.

What a lovely find! Such a friendly place and a lovely atmosphere in a beautiful building. We’ll be back! Lunch was delicious and serving staff were very attentive and friendly. The village it is in is quaint and worth a visit too.

Stayed there for a long weekend last summer. Was a great getaway. Staff were friendly and the pub had a good atmosphere. The nights and lodgings were peaceful and private. Good internet, parking and the ensuite was nice.

Room Tip: Try get one on the non-street side. Overlooks the courtyard and is more private.

Room Tip: The rooms over the bar facing the road are a little noisier but hardly noticed it and slept well.

Meeting space cancelled without notice. We have meet there for several years on a regular basis. We made a reservation after the previous session and arrived to find the space was taken. No real explanation except we don't take bookings. Our meeting was on the calendar placed behind the bar. We will not be back.

Met friends here for lunch after looking for somewhere new to go We were not disappointed food was good standard and fresh veg not frozen was had by all of us. Staff were friendly and fairly attentive though I do think that they needed more as they were over stretched Would highly recommend

Rang and booked in within 30 minutes but plenty of diners in there when we arrived. Large car park at rear. Good choices on the menu. Waiting staff attentive. Meals came quickly and were huge portion sizes. Would have been nice to have the fire warming the rooms. Good value

Our stay was only for one night as we were visiting family in the area. Our room was comfortable, clean and nice and quiet. After check in we sat in the courtyard with a glass of wine just enjoying the lovely weather. We ate in the restaurant that evening and our meals were very good. Breakfast in the morning was excellent and set us up for the day. We will definitely stay here again when we are next in the area.
