Good menu selection especially fish. One of our fish starters was off but weren't given free replacement. Some of the main courses over cooked. Most staff pleasant but some obviously thought we were being awkward. Had been previously with no problems so maybe an off night.

We received a warm welcome when we arrived after a long walk with our little dog. Our room was quite tired and dated but clean and comfortable. Food is standard pub fayre but quite adequate. At breakfast there was a good buffet and the cooked food was very nice. The young staff worked very hard and were friendly and efficient.

The George and Dragon is a comfortable pub / Inn situated on the Dales way. Friendly and helpful staff welcome you. The beer is great and the rooms comfortable. They also have a pool table - a nice bonus. Dinner was average and service slow. Breakfast was typical and nothing special (despite the breakfast award hung in the corridor -...

B & B accommodation was very good, the food is excellent both for dinner and for breakfast. On tour around the L and D loop on our bikes and the best cooked bacon was eaten here - done perfectly. Of course the beer was excellent, as you would expect for a brewery!

Compared to the other pub in the village, this is outstanding! The food is so much better; it's vibrant and lively with entertainment on offer. There are many different drinks to choose from also. It's expensive but fairly priced for the services and products available.

During a long weekend stay in the lovely little village of Dent, my partner and I decided to eat dinner at the George and Dragon. The pub looks the part with a smart lounge and a pleasant bar, although the large screen TV on the wall did distract, particularly as it was switched on, but with now sound. My own...

The village, the once thriving centre for 18th cent knitting , had the reputation as the home of terrible knitters of Dent, not because they were nasty, but knitted socks and hats from their local swaledale sheep wool. Their history is well described , with much to see and enjoy in the nearby Heritage centre. The George and Dragon in...

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in a cottage in Dent for Christmas and alway enjoy our visits to the pub. We have enjoyed Christmas Day lunch the previous 2 times, but sadly they no longer do it. Although disappointed we still enjoyed the drinks. The young barman was very friendly and there was a very relaxed atmosphere....
