A very welcome stay here after our previous night at Ribblehead! On arrival, we were welcomed by a very friendly girl. Our room was clean an comfortable and we had a very nice new bathroom. We had our evening meal in the hotel also, which was tasty and well presented. At breakfast we were served by the same very friendly... More

My daughter and I stopped of at this lovely pub on our Dales Way adventure, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere very warm, we stayed and had drinks and a meal which was very nice before we set of on our adventure again, I would highly recommend this pub set in the lovely quaint village of Dent.

There are a couple of hotels in Dent. We chose this one on our Dales Way walk as it had en-suite rooms. Mine had a bath, which was great as we had walked 20 miles, so that was a real bonus. The bar was pretty quiet so we decided to eat somewhere else, but it had livened up a bit... More

Perhaps we should have realised why the owner of our rented cottage, 5 minutes' walk from the centre of Dent, had recommended restaurants which were all at least half an hour's drive away but after our first and only meal at the George and Dragon we booked dinner elsewhere for the rest of our stay. On arrival the pub was... More

4 of us were walking the Dales Way and stayed here for one night on our route. Lovely traditional pub with nice rooms and good beer. Staff very friendly. We had a good meal in the bar and it was nice to just pop upstairs to bed as we were tired from walking - hard work lugging our bags up... More

A traditional style pub which seems to be run by young people. On arrival there seemed to be one member of staff to check us in and serve drinks. After the first round the lager went off and we were told that it wouldn't be back on till later when someone came on duty who could do it?? Rooms were... More

Eight of us on a round trip walk from Dent Railway station to Dent village and popped into the George and Dragon for lunch and a pint. I'm tea total but my friends tell me the beer was locally brewed and really good. Pub food lunch was great, I had ham, chips and egg - good slice of meat and... More

Fantastic family friendly country pub. Excellent roasts with largely local produce and tasty deserts. Very busy on the day we visited but service was great with very knowledgable staff, especially about gluten free options.
