Stayed here for two nights for a family reunion, rooms were excellent and staff very professional ... The decor top class, the food excellent and location perfect ....the hotel was relaxing and an ideal location for ketching up with family and reminising.
We booked Glenlo Abbey as the pictures and situation looked magnificent but this does not tell the whole story.

Wonderful hotel with excellent staff who were very friendly and welcoming and provided wonderful service....room was very spacious .....bed linen was gorgous.....
Loved the lovely peaceful location ....enjoyed playing the 9hole golf course and walks

The dining cars from The Orient Express are still in business. Make a reservation. (Also, go on in if you are told that there are no openings. We did that and were seated immediately. My understanding is that the number of reservations allowed depends on the number of staff on duty rather than the number of seats available. The front desk advised us to try it, so we just showed up and were seated promptly).
