First the positives. The evening meal was quite good. The staff were pretty friendly. The bar area wasn't unpleasant. The bed and linen were decent. Now the negatives. The toilet didn't flush very well, often needing two or three flushes. The shower was pathetic and took ages to warm up. The curtains were next to useless especially when you've got...

Well I don't really know what to say. I am a contractor and have stayed in a few budget hotels while staying away from home. This is without a doubt the worst kept hotel I have stayed in ( I have stayed in hostels and Christian hotels from 1910 with no TVs lol) the whole place looks very run down....

Stayed here for one night this week whilst working in London. There is a nice large car park to the front of the hotel, the hotel itself looks dated and is in need of a refurb.I stayed in the bungalow next to the main hotel.Very basic and in need of a bit of tlc.The shower was poor, barely a trickle. The room was also...

Booked this hotel on the day before coming down, we got two nights for £100 which we found was an amazing price from looking at the photos of this place. The photos looked okay nothing special but a good clean place.. we arrived at the hotel and from the outside the place looked old, tired and just a massive need of...

Don't be dismayed when you arrive at The Royal Hotel in daylight, to an empty car park, once inside the pub doors it's actually acceptable and although I can't comment on the basic rooms, the upgraded rooms are very nicely furnished, although could be cold at times. Reception provided a spare heater without request as it was a cold day....

A complete tip. No heating in room. Windows do not close or lock. A fire hazard. Poor access. Filthy. Only stayed as got here very late and tired. Nothing on their website is true. It should be shut down. Worst hotel I have ever stayed in.

My Son and I stayed here overnight as we were working locally and it made more sense to do so than go home. The hotel is undergoing a lot of work and it is not frankly in the best of surroundings. The staff were polite, and although the whole thing is ramshackle, the room was very clean, the beds were...

Stayed in the hotel for 1 night for the Super Bike Championships at Brands Hatch. On arrival we were shocked as it looked a lot different to the pictures on the Website. Went into reception, no one there.... sign said to go through to the bar to be checked in. So we battled our way through the locals in the...

Stayed recently, no heating in room & it's mid-October!! Very dusty & drab rooms which aggravated my chest!! Restaurant had a blip....so had to either order a take-away or dine out... where in Purfleet can you dine? Luckily we found a lovely Indian restaurant & taxi firm!! So no I won't stay again & nor will I recommend it!
