Great location and if you stay in the boathouse (room 101 is the best with its lovely private terrace ) then you will find a small but well equipped room. Great shower nice toiletries home baked cookies etc all wonderful But the bar and restaurant lets it down.. dinner is a menu for the chef rather than the clientele. Yes...

We have looked at booking the Lugger and never quite got round to it. This Easter we did and wow what a place. Our room was fabulous, light, big and airy. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable, huge bed with cotton sheets. Bathroom not huge with in bath shower - shower is great! Little touches of hot chocolate and marshmallows at...

A special place for me to revisit after completing the South West Coast Path last year. The hotel staff were kind to a very tired walker, me! The hotel, lounge, outside terraces and dining areas are cosy, tastefully decorated with very attentive and obliging staff. Typical Cornish buildings, watch you head! Our sea view room was spacious, bed was very...

We had a recent 3 night stay at The Lugger, Portloe and although we had a great time due to location and beautiful weather, we left a little disappointed... Let's start with the positives: - Amazing location, and great access to the coast path - Lovely little touches such as cakes to greet you after a long day of walking...

I am hoping people just read the title and decide not to go to the Lugger so there will be room next time we decide to go. This is somewhere that goes the extra kilometre. Previous reviewers have mentioned the weather reports, hot water bottles and hot chocolate... The food is excellent, the service attentive and friendly. Good use of...

My husband booked us a 2 night stay from 11 April, bed, breakfast plus evening meal. Staff were very friendly and so attentive. Very peaceful spot. Food was AMAZING! We're foodies and the food served was up there with the best we'd had. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the fish dishes. Little touches like hot chocolate in your room before bed,...

Lugger is a small, but beautiful hotel situated right on the idillic fisherman's cove in Port Loe. The welcome we received on reception was warm and courteous after our long journey down. The room we had was fresh and modern. We loved opening the window each evening and hearing the waves crashing against the rocks. The breakfast offering was superb....

We loved the setting, the amazing food - in fact it was the best meal I have ever had and great value for the quality. The service was also second to none - very friendly, yet courteous and nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable and a good shower in the bathroom. Unfortunately the boiler is soon...

We stayed at the Lugger for 4 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. Although the room was quite small it was very clean and we were made very welcome by all of the lovely very well trained staff who couldn't do enough to make our stay memorable. The food was really superb (I have never had purple potatoes before,...

What a lovely hotel, nice location, good food, friendly staff, we spent three nights here and enjoyed every minute it is situated on the harbours edge with views out beyond the cove to sea, space is not at a premium with little outside space and none of the usual facility's of a good class of hotel eg swimming pool ,...
