Me and my husband have been in a few times since the refurbishment. The jug and bottle has been transformed and is just a lovely place to sit and have a drink and a meal. The food has been outstanding every time we have gone in, the burger is just amazing, and the proper pub chips are too die for....

Found this Inn on the Internet and we are so glad we chose it. A very comfortable and clean room with lovely views, in a very quiet location, but easy drive to places of interest in Wirral and Liverpool. Also a 2 minute walk to local shops and restaurants. Excellent choice of food for breakfast and evening meals - all...

We stayed for one night for a family gathering. It was superb service the first time we stayed but the accomodation needed tlc, but was good enough. This time we found that they have refurbished everything and it really is outstanding, and believe it or not the superb service was better. I would have said it was all 5 star, but for...

Very nice looking pub overlooking the River Dee with plenty of outside seating. As vegetarians we were not impressed with the choices and there seems to be an obsession with goats cheese these days. My wife had a risotto which was very nice and i had a cheese and onion sandwich and chips. Unfortunately the ony cheese available in the...

We stayed her three weeks ago for the second time, although we were really happy with our stay last time, the refurbishment makes this an even more appealing to stay. We had a long drive before we arrived from the south coast and unfortunately one of our group was really tired and needed to rest and felt unable to come...

We were a party of 8 who booked a meal via web page of Jug and Bottle and were really looking to a family catch up after Xmas. We had e mailed to advise that we would have a small dog with us, as we understood you could take your dogs there. On our arrival we had to look round...

Helpful and friendly staff greet you in the pub bar and show you up to your room offering to carry your bags which is a nice touch. Rooms are clean if a little basic but fine for the price. Worth it for the money and thoroughly decent stay.

Went last Friday with friends for lunch. First impressions were very good with nice décor and plenty of room around the tables. The service was good with a nice short break between courses. The food was excellent and it was clean plates all around. I would definitely recommend this venue and will certainly be going back again.

First time back after the refit, wow, what a difference. The layout of the bar area has changed and there appears to be much more room now. The bedroom was a good size and very clean and comfortable. Didn't eat here but the breakfast was more than ample and have been informed that the evening meals are really good so...

We have stayed at the Jug and Bottle a couple of times before and enjoyed the range of beer and gin, excellent food and sitting by the fire before having a good nights sleep in the comfortable bedrooms. We returned this time to find that the pub had undergone significant renovation and had only recently reopened. The renovation is impressive...
