The Premier Inn Wirral (Heswall) Hotel receives accolades for its exceptionally clean rooms and facilities, with guests frequently highlighting the hotel's dedication to spotlessness. While opinions on value vary, with some guests finding the pricing reasonable and others not, the hotel's location is generally appreciated for its suitability for family visits and its peaceful environment. The atmosphere is often described as welcoming, thanks to spacious rooms with thoughtful touches and invigorating hot showers.
Staff members at the hotel earn praise for their friendly demeanor, though a few guests have noted slower service and breakfast offerings that didn't meet expectations. The rooms, while clean and sizable, have received mixed reviews regarding maintenance. Amenities like the extra tea and charity items add to the positive experience, even as some guests encounter issues with upkeep and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Just stayed here for 3 nights after having damp work done at home. The staff are the loveliest.. so welcoming on arrival and so helpful. Thank you so much. I’m always very apprehensive with stuff like this and you immediately put me at ease the second I walked through the door.
The room and bedding etc were spotlessly clean!! Couldn’t fault it at all.

Spent the weekend at the Premier Inn Heswall and could t fault it.
Covid restrictions were very clear to follow and in line with government guidance.
The room was very clean and we were informed it had recently fogged too. It was comfortable with all the amenities required for a short stay (teas and coffees). Hairdryer in the room too. Shampoo and shower gel was on the wall in the bathroom so no unnecessary plastic which is always great to see.
Staff were very friendly upon arrival and again when we asked for more tea and coffee - this wasn’t replenished for our second morning because they weren’t cleaning the rooms while you stayed.
Great location on the Wirral.
Would definitely recommend and will definitely be staying again when we next visit the family. Excellent value for money.
Cannot comment on the breakfast as we didn’t choose this option.

The premier inn was as expected, clean, functional, comfortable. we have stayed here before. The lady on check in was so friendly and helpful, organised a taxi for us etc and was chirpy and very good front of house. However the beefeater breakfast the next morning really ruined the experience..the restaurant floors were dirty and carpet covered in food remnants, multiple tables stacked with dirty dishes, and no staff that seemed to care. we first arrived and stood for over 5 mins at the ' please wait to be seated area' as noone came we then made our way to a table. There were 3 staff on duty from what we could see, but it was hard to find one at times. They ran out of juice, milk, yoghurt , bread and didnt seem to care about restocking this even though several tables were asking for this. We had to go find a member of staff to take our hot food order, and when it arrived there was items missing/orders wrong - but again couldnt seem to find anyone to ask . However as soon as 11 o clock arrived 2 staff members quickly appeared and cleared the dirty tables we had sat among for over 45 mins and seemed that they couldnt get the place cleared quick enough so they could get out. I have stayed at many premier inns before, and this one too, and never experienced worse service. It was appalling, noone cared that people were constantly having to ask for the basics such as juice and milk or bread to toast. There were no plates to put toast on from 30 mins before end of service, nor was there any white bread, or juice. I generally do not post negative posts but this was truly shocking, we have NEVER experienced anything like it before.

My husband and I stayed here in a family room for 4 nights with out 2 children bout under 8. The room and bathroom were very clean and had the basic amenities we needed, kettle, coffee, soap etc and cleaning staff always checked we had enough when we saw them each morning. Reception staff were always so smilie, friendly and helpful no matter the time. We had 4 bicycles and the room was a little bit smaller than previous family rooms we’ve stayed in so could not fit the bikes in with us. The reception staff made room for our bikes in a lockable area which we felt was above and beyond. The staff always engaged with us and the children which made the stay just great!

Room was fine for myself & 2 kids, however it was advertised as a family room & I cannot see how it would comfortably fit a fourth person.
Room was well equipped with the usual tea/coffee making facilities, a hair dryer, hanging space & a drawer.
We were attending a local wedding in Thornton Manor Hotel, which was only a 5 minute drive away, so therefore ideal location for this & a lot cheaper than staying at the wedding hotel.

We stayed in a fully adapted disabled room (my wife has MS and cannot begin or out of a bath) which was absolutely huge and had proper twin beds,
It was nice and comfortable but with a few minor improvements would have gotten 5 stars these are mainly,
1) No where to put your case, staff kindly suggested we put it on the desk or under the desk on the floor. Well that’s ok but if you are wheelchair bound there is no way you could reach up or down to get items from the suitcase. A simple case stand would rectify that. The case wouldn’t go in the wardrobe due to the hanging rail being low down and suitable for a wheelchair user.
2) In the wet room, which again was well adapted, the problem was that there was no where to put your shower gel and shampoo within reach of the shower. You had to walk from the shower area over to the sink which did have storage at the side. A shelf either in the shower are or just the other side of the shower curtain would suffice, at a height that could be reached from the shower seat or a wheelchair. Again an easy fix not costing very much.
3) The door to the bathroom is a sliding one which was so heavy and kept catching on the carpet, that I could hardly move it. This needs addressing as someone in a wheelchair may not be able to move it at all.
Sorry for the long post, but it is something that would make someone’s life so much easier.

I regularly stay at Premier Inns and must say this is the worse I have stayed in.
All I expect from this chain of budget hotels is the basics and those couldn’t be produced. Room 37 seemed to have toilets and baths blocked both nights and ended up with whatever the room above flushed coming up to my toilet stinking the room out not ideal with a three and six year old.
Reported twice and not once an apology. Just we will get this sorted.
The breakfast at the beefeater was also horrendous due to the hour and forty minute rate I ain’t sure this hotel can cope with the foot fall it sees come through its doors.

Response from WhitbreadHotels, Premier Inn Team at Premier Inn Wirral (heswall) Hotel
Responded 22 Feb 2020
Hi Stu, Sorry to hear of your disappointment with your recent visit to us and the adjoining beefeater. I am sorry that your toilet and bath were blocked this certainly isnt the standard that we would expect and I have passed all your feedback onto the management team so they are aware of your experience. And will take action to ensure this matter is fully resolved. I do hope we can welcome you again in the future. Thanks Kristy

We stayed at this hotel for two nights, just got back and wanted to write a review straight away.
The first thing to say is that the young guy at reception on Friday evening was really welcoming and offered to put a small bed in the room for my 6 year old, he was delighted. They had already set the travel cot up ready for us.
We got to the room and it was one designed for wheelchair users which was amazing because the kids had tonnes of space to play, especially great for my 1 year old who has just started walking.
The bed was huge and really comfy, they had the fan going for when we arrived because it was really warm.
We got up in the morning and went straight down for brekkie, they had loads of choice, we paid £15 and had full English, pancakes, tea, juice, fruit, yoghurt and cereal. Really good value for everything we had.
The service and friendliness of the staff was just outstanding.
We did the same this morning which was just a treat and so nice to wake up to.
What else is there to say? The main thing is I didn't want to leave. Great customer service goes a long way and I left with the impression that they work together as a team and the place runs smoothly because of it.
Thanks for making our stay so comfortable. Definitely recommend!

We’ve stayed at a number of Premier Inns across the country, all good quality and this one is no different. Room was comfortable as usual but the bed was slightly springy - probably not one of the new ones like those in the south get! Staff were very friendly, from reception, cleaners, night staff to those in the adjacent restaurant. Great place to stay if visiting the area, and handy for anywhere on the Wirral, Liverpool and Chester.

I don't think there is an ice machine. Certainly not in the rooms. As for the foyer- there appears only to be a drinks dispensing machine selling cold drinks at exhorbitant prices. This is really a very basic hotel - okay for one night but certainly not longer. The adjoining Beefeater restaurant where you can have breakfast and dinner might let you have an ice bucket if you asked but that's not definite. I'm just thinking aloud on that one !
I’m sure that shouldn’t be a problem
For anyone travelling to Liverpool, there is an excellent park and ride site at Hooton, less than 15 minutes drive from the hotel. Costs £1 to park there all day, and the frequent train service ( every 15 to 20 minutes during the day) takes around half an hour to get to Liverpool Central station. Follow the road towards Chester and turn left as if you are going to Willaston village. We used it last week and it was great.
Cannot answer as we did not have a family room
