Any establishment that makes their own bread is with a mention in my book. Decent sized rooms, clean and comfy. Good towels, great welcome, breakfast as you want it. I had boiled eggs, which can test the kitchen. Perfect. One bonus is the Castle Hotel 300 meters along the highway that serves decent food. Take note you have to book!...

We were positively astonished by this accommodation. The rooms are new and nicely furnished and leave no wishes open - really pleasing after a long drive or a day out at the wild northern shores of Scotland. The hosts make you feel welcome and do everything to make the stay enjoyable. There is no dinner but the Castle Arms Hotel...

I spent several days at Graeme and Eileen's lovely home this past September 2016. The setting is peaceful and comforting. The home (and room) were nicely furnished and the breakfasts were excellent. But further, the hosts were genial and very welcoming

The house is located on the western edge of the small village of Mey on the main road. Our room was on the ground floor with a great view across adjacent fields to distant hills. The room was clean with modern furnishings and a practical walk-in wet room. The bed was large and comfortable and the wifi worked well. Great...

Walking into someone else's home and feeling it's your own. So warm, so comfortable, so embracing, so pretty. A lovely welcome from Graeme and Eilean (and the delicious Molly!) was a great start to this weekend, and our stay was just the experience we were looking for. We love Caithness, and we were eating out in John o' Groats as...

My partner and I stayed with Graeme and Eilean for two nights. They are both most hospitable. A room that is quite spacious and great to relax in. A nearby pub recommendation was really good, particularly as we booked the previous night (and returned home safely with the supplied torch as we walked on the dark night road). Small details...

We were pleased with our large room with good lighting, and a small bathroom with shower and every amenity imaginable including a heated towel rack. There was a lovely sitting room with a large TV, comfy couch and fireplace. The full Scottish breakfast in the bright dining room included a wide selection of delicious offerings, even haggis if you want...

The place is very near to the embarcadero to Orkneys (remember to book the ferry and the tour in advance). Very large and clean room. The breakfast is wonderful and the people are very kind. Carpark Included. Suggested!

After camping in the wind and rain for a couple of nights this was our oasis. Beautiful room and spotlessly clean. Owners made us very welcome with loads of extras in the room. They were both very helpful in helping us find somewhere nice to eat in the village and their own food was lovely .
