I have been coming here for a number of years and it is a hidden gem. This time I think something is missing. The staff were polite but not their usual sparkling selves. Food was good chicken stack. But at a quarter to 10 they asked for last orders. I felt I was keeping them up so went to bed...

I took my elderly parents for luch here today and was delighted with the quality of the food (none of the bought-in stuff you get at so many places, but obviuosly pre[pared and cooked in a proper kitchen by proper chefs!) The wine list was excellent in variety, quality and value for money. The service was very attentive and friendly...

Arrived to a friendly greeting by reception staff & shown promptly to our room. Room very clean, tv secure (which I prefer) rather than situated on a unit. Long mirror & dressing table mirror. Water & tea, coffee etc in room. The food was fantastic & plentiful, highly recommend the Stornaway black pudding & haggis fritters. We came specifically to...

Lovely room over looking playingfields. Very quiet with great shower. The only thing letting it down I felt was the breakfast, but only slightly some products dry like the bacon and black pudding, the evening meals were great. The bed was very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. I would stay again if in the area.

Last night was no different, with a large party of friends having booked in for dinner. The staff were...

The sheach clan descended on the hotel last night for a get together. 12 of us were extremely well looked after by pat and front of house team. The kitchen was really busy with 3 other large parties, but the food was perfectly cooked and presented. I had scallops followed by Uplawmoor chicken which was cooked right on point. We...
