We stayed here for 4 nights to attend a major shooting tournament and had a really lovely stay. We stayed in Room 11 which was a nice room with a lovely soft bed, the only disappointment was that it was not worth the £125 a night price tag, this was the only down side to a great stay. The bathroom...

I stayed in this hotel for four nights along with friends. The historic building is querky but charming with a choice of room grades at different prices. I took room 24 which is their junior suite on the ground floor of the coach house, a few paces away from the main house. There was a large very well furnished bedroom...

I stayed for three nights in this quirky and very historic hotel in mid wales. It dates back hundreds of years and there is not a straight line anywhere which adds to its charm. Set amidst beautiful countryside you could not fault this hotel for comfort, quality of food and service. I stayed in room 22 at the top of...

Dear Yorkshirellass I am delighted to read your comments about your recent visit and it is lovely to know you enjoyed your stay in no small part due to the quirkiness of the building. As you rightly say it has very few straight lines. I note you look forward to a return visit and we look forward to this. I...

Interesting Hotel and worth staying at for the ghosts alone. Had good meal at the resturant and the staff were attentive. Room was very quirky and once you gained entrance very comfortable. Only issue was the billing - paid in full as I left but the hotel saw fit to bill a further £33 after my visit Have e-mailed to...

I needed to book a hotel near Newtown in Powys when I had to work at Newtown Driving Test Centre for a day. This is over 80 miles from where I live. I searched Google and found the Maesmawr Hall Hotel. Upon arrival I was impressed with the look of this hotel and the grounds were beautifully maintained and impressive....

Took the family for Sunday lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were really well looked after, the food was great and the setting was beautiful. We had a choice of sitting in the dining room or outside, both were no trouble at all. Prices were reasonable too. Thanks very much for having us.

We stayed on a Sunday night and found we were the only people in restaurant, menu poor and the meal, a starter which was ok and a roast which was very poor and seem to me to be a reheated Sunday lunch. neither my husband or I enjoyed it. Yorkshire pudding and roast potatoes soggy and not pleasant.
