My wife and I stayed for 9 nights at the end of September and had a great time. I feel that Zannos Melathron is a difficult hotel to review due to its unique style and location, which may not be to everyone's liking.
My boyfriend and I went for 4 nights in the junior suite. The room was amazing, in an old style. The main building and everything else in the hotel is in the same style and makes you feel cozy. The people working at the hotel...More

No! There are no roads by the hotel and the only way is to walk up the path/stairs from the village square where there is parking nearby. There is a donkey to take your luggage though :-). Also the rooms are up and down steep paths/stairs fron Reception. This is a really lovely hotel but might not be right for someone who can't walk easily.

Some of the best restaurants on the island are within a short walking distance, see my review for recommendations. I paid €40 to hire a car for 24 hrs which is a must to make the most of your stay. The hotel were happy to arrange this but the car hire agency, Pyrgos Rent a Car, is also within walking distance.
The wifi signal is available throughout the hotel, including by the pool, but is only adequate for basic browsing and social media due to the limited bandwidth.
