The lodge style buildings were charming. We had a room that had the sitting area and bathroom on one level and the bedroom in the loft. It was warm, cosy and had a lovely outlook over a pond. There was a spa bath in the bathroom which I enjoyed. the only downside for me was the hardness of the bed....

Just one of the best in terms of service, atmosphere and quality. After a long few days driving, me and my wife decided to take a night in some comfort. As soon as we arrived, Leighton and his team looked after us like we were Prince William and Princess Kate, and the studio room bed and bath looked like they...

We have stayed in the lodge twice now whilst touring around the South Island. It's set in a bush with a stunning lake within easy walking distance. The rooms are comfortable & well laid out although the lighting in the bathroom could be better. The lodge facilities are very pleasant with open fire, pool table & good laundry facilities. Staff...

We spent one night here while touring South Island. The hotel restaurant and lobby area are nicely decorated and welcoming. We booked a standard room which was okay but in need of some upgrading. We walked from hotel down a scenic path to lakeside which is not far away. The hotel has a small laundry room which was convenient, provides...

This was an overnight business trip. The lodge is modern and comfortable and the dining areas have wonderful views as did my room. The area is quiet and unspoilt and I would definitely stay here again.

Quiet, clean room, a bit dated, a kettle is the only breakfast facility. TV reception is poor, dishwashing liquid would be handy, no plates, no table, no coffee plunger, no microwave - a basic motel room.

We stayed here one night as part of a longer trip. Comfortable and clean motel unit, great shower. Lovely private terrace with beautiful view. Unfortunately unusable because of the infamous sand flies. Good restaurant. Perfect location to walk to Lake Rotoitîto for a hike. Water taxi will take you to the top of the lake. Happy to come back.

Whilst the Gardens surrounding the lodge are well kept and lead to some interesting scenic walks the standard room lodges are in need of a good update . Whilst clean the decor gives the appearance of grubbiness and the dated bathroom did not exactly invite use . The tea/ coffee making not actually helped by the kettle not fitting under...

St. Arnaud is a small place with not many choices for accommodations. We decided to stay here because it was convenient to the walk we wanted to do on Mt. Robert. We were happy with the accommodations. Wifi worked well, bed was reasonably comfortable and the food in the restaurant was very good. It's close enough to walk to the...
