My wife and I spent 4 wonderful days with our gracious hosts Heert-Jan and Atske. They have meticulously and beautifully restored their country home to a high standard of authenticity and artistic integrity to transport you into a yesteryear of gracious living. Superb breakfasts prepared by Atske begin your day in luxury as you savour local honey and homemade jams,...

We spent two wonderful nights in the charming Villa Konijnenberg. The Bed & Breakfast is a beautiful villa from the 1930s, only a short walk away from the Kalmthoutse Heide. The rooms (as well as the rest of the property) are simply stunning. The villa has a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere and our extremely friendly and accommodating hosts made...

Within seconds of arrival we realised we had made a wise choice. Villa Konijnenberg has an atmosphere of luxurious calm and Atske and Heert-Jan are delightful hosts. Bedrooms are stylish with fine, comfortable beds. Breakfast was delicious: freshly prepared and beautifully presented. This was a welcome retreat after a long day travelling and perfect for a visit to Arboretum Kalmthout....

Great spot. Very classy, English style house with beautiful grounds. Super genial hosts. They don't give out keys, but were always home when we phoned. Excellent breakfast. Luxurious bathroom - my wife was ecstatic.

We stayed at the Villa in Kalmthout for two nights in August. Thanks to the warm hospitality of our two gracious hosts, the beautifully restored house and garden, our stay was more than we could have hoped for. Our room was spacious and charming with its oak floors and ample windows opening to the small rose garden and sundial in...

My family and I had the pleasure of experiencing the beautifully decorated and warm hospitality of Villa Konijnenberg. Our hosts were extremely attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. Furthermore, the homemade breakfast was simple but delicious (coffee, croissants, fruit, yogurt, homemade muesli and fresh squeezed juice). Lovely bedrooms and gorgeous bathrooms, very tastefully decorated. Worth...

The countryside region north-east of Antwerp is really a gem.And especially in the bordermunicipality of Kalmthout are a lot of nice things to visit , most of them connected to nature. You have the borderpark "Kalmthoutse Heide " from there to the suburbs of the Dutch Bergen-op-Zoom , a paradise for hikers , you have the magnificent "Arboretum " with...

During our hike on the GR5 between Essen and Wuustwezel we found this lovely Bed and Breakfast. Besides just ‘A Bed’ and ‘A Breakfast’ Villa Konijnenberg is much more. The Bed is fantastic and can be found in a lovely and big room. We stayed in the ‘ordinary’ modern room, imagine the big romantic room! The Breakfast is complete and...

Thank you for your positive review. We decided to have 2 mattresses in the beds and Auping flexible bottom. So it is possible for everybody to find the best position to rest and sleep. Then a split remains in between. That is not everyone’s choice. Comfort is a personal matter and we hope that we have find a solution which...
