We stayed in the Loft. As they say, an exceptional view of the Harbour, in a large, bright room. I would rate it as excellent but for some minor details. The hot water was barely warm. They have a boil water advisory, but non is provided. Poor selection of TV channels, on a tiny, old TV. No internet. Although there... More

We had a private cabin, all to ourselves. It appeared to be freshly renovated, so it was clean and comfortable. Dishes, tea and coffee were provided. We were forewarned to bring bottled water, as Red Bay has a boil-water warning. We ate our meals at the nearby restaurant where Ruth and Dallas welcomed us and made us feel at home.... More

We stayed in the Stage Head room at the Whaling Station Cabins. This large comfortable room has been restored from a fishing stage on the dock. It is incredibly close to the water with a wonderful view of Saddle Island. The large window provided magical moments as gulls flew by, a whale surfaced just beyond the dock, and the sun... More

Well we travelled up the coast from the ferry docks on a cold, foggy day in July and arrived to find our accommodations freezing. Our first impression was that the owners could have bothered to warm up the premises for arriving guests, but apparently it didn't seem to matter to them when mentioned. We stayed in the Stage Room at... More

After the drive to Red Bay from Blanc Sablon, we were looking forward to a good sleep. The ladies stayed late as it took a while to get off the ferry, and we were promptly checked in and shown our cabin. It had all we needed, a comfortable bed, complete bath. It is a little rustic but that's part of... More

I stayed at this cabin on June 21st, 2016. The outside doesn't look like much, but I was on a motorcycle, and it didn't matter much. The inside is wonderful, with a modern living space downstairs, and 2 queen beds on the 2nd story loft. I would definitely recommend this cabin to stay at.......MotoMike

This is about the only place to stay in the area, but the view from our room was great and the cabin was spacious and warm. There are blackflies, which I discovered to my regret, so watch out for them. Nice restaurant next door and Parks Canada has a whaling interpretation center next door.

I was really pleased when I opened the door of the rear left (closest to the parking area, facing the water) unit and found a modern, clean, cozy, roomy motel room. The food in the restaurant was tasty and the gift shop was fun to shop in. But as I learned at 5:00 a.m. the next morning, there was no... More

My husband and I, plus our 2 friends stayed in August for 3 nights. Whaler's Station is about the only choice of places to stay. We were prepared for Labrador to be more remote and rustic than Newfoundland, however Whalers Station is no more than a 2 star for accomodations and meals. The summer weather was terrible - cold, rain... More

We stayed twice on the way through in each direction. We had two different cabins, both spacious and ideally located, with lots of atmosphere. One was on a landing stage next to the water, the other was set back a little and off on its own. They are probably the nicest places I have stayed at for a long time.... More
