We stayed in Hotel de la Poste in La Cavalerie intending to drive across the Millau Viaduct the next morning. The hotel appeared to us to have been newly renovated – it was spotlessly clean and had a large restaurant. I asked for a map of La Cavalerie and was told that I wouldn’t need one – the town is...

La Cavalerie is a charming little medieval town and served as the perfect stopover on the way down to Spain. This hotel was everything I needed: close to the motorway, friendly service, free WiFi, secure parking with a place to lock up bikes, pets accepted, high quality bedding, quiet, and a good breakfast to get back on the road. Also,...

The location was chosen as a convenient overnight stopover very near the motorway at Millau and has been previously overlooked but we were pleasantly surprised by the unique preservation of a town constructed by the Knights Templar spending a half day exploring the town before moving on. The hotel was to a good standard for the budget price with a...

I used the hotel for a stop over on the drive down to Spain, having been given a recommendation at the tourist office at the Millau Bridge 'Aire'. The hotel was everything I expected and the large restaurant at the rear of the hotel served a superb dinner. Evidently this appears also top be popular with locals so I guess...

Pleasant village to take a walk round before dinner. Pleasant room, lift acces which helped, nice and quiet. The food was very acceptable and interesting. The staff are helpful, hardworking and have a sense of humour. A good place to stay, good value for money. It's not a palace, but it is well looked after and an in an interesting...

We didn't expect any luxury, but what we experienced with our room was way too basic for the price paid: No table space to leave one's car keys, laptop, whatever. Poor lighting, unusable reading lamps by the bed. An uninviting bathroom with a grungy shower curtain. No space to put one's toiletries - had to use the floor for that....

Check in was ok - Although a bit offhand. Parking was full so had to park on the pavement along the street. This made for quite a struggle with cases. The room was adequate - Fairly clean - with a reasonable bed, but the pillows might as well not have been there. The bathroom door dragged as we tried to...

Having visited the nearby Millau Viaduct, we stopped off here overnight, on the way south. La Cavallerie itself is an interesting fortified village, with links to the Knights Templar, and the hotel is nicely placed to explore the village as well. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room of treasonable size and quiet and the hotel has it's own...

Don't know why this has a Certificate of Excellence??? Dirty old hotel with a stinking bathroom, 10 year old dust under the beds and dirty old bed covers. Didn't have WiFi because the hotel connection had reached it's limit ??? The restaurant gets good reviews but for the prices they charge it should be. Didn't want to eat there due...
