It is a nice hotel besides the lake of Mt Fuji. The room is very wide and clean. The dinner Fuji Samon Japanese food is very delicious that I would like to recommend. The outdoor bath is so excellent that I can relax entirly. I can enjoy the scenery of the Lake Yamanaka from the balcony of the room. And the staff here is perfect, everyone is friendly , I love their smiles. Everything is very good!

I am finding it difficult to find anything positive to say about my one night stay here, except that the room was spacious! Lots of steps into foyer, fortunately one staff member did come and help me with my case. The room I was allocated faced the carpark and wall, it was tired and in desperate need of a clean. the brown coloured towels provided were paper thin, the bathroom tiles were all mouldy, carpet soiled. The breakfast was awful, it was difficult to find anything to eat, slices of white bread cut in half, found butter but no knives! the food looked as though it had been standing out for many hours before the dining room opened.

Worst hotel we've ever stayed in. Tired, tired; difficult steps up/down to lobby trying to lug cases. 'Bartender' had toddler child on hip whilst he attended to child's chicken dinner. G & T - blank. White wine - blank. Did manage to find two unchilled bottles. Dining room!! Very downmarket cafeteria style. The food was inedible both for dinner and breakfast.; Isolated too - nearest convenience store 20 minutes walk away. Dreadful experience.

Nice hotel on the lakes of Mt Fuji. The hotel needs some upgrades the rooms are a little tried. The rooms are good size if you our booking look for a room looking over the lakes others rooms look over the forest. Not good for disable people. I could not see any entrance for them. The foyer has the room to make changes. There not much around the hotel there a small shop in the hotel we stop at 7 Eleven to buy food and alcohol. Dinner was a buffet style was ok Breakfast was ok as well. There is a Japanese hot tub which was fine but busy when I was there the hotel was a lot of peoples staying. We where lucky there was snow.

Caution! No elevator down to the lobby area from the entrance/parking lot. There are steep stairs and a steep ramp for luggage, but it seemed to be quite a struggle, especially for older travelers to use that luggage ramp when going down. I saw a couple of people almost fall when trying to walk up the steps while pulling their luggage up the ramp. It's very dangerous in my opinion. Upon entering the lobby, it looks promising despite how outdated it is. But look closer and the grandness fades quickly. We got an enormous room, but it didn't seem very clean. We had no hot water at all coming from the sink faucet, and there was mold all over the shower area. The towels were old, thin and rough. The bath products were obviously low-quality cheap stuff. I must say, the beds were comfortable, so that was appreciated. Our tour guide gave us a history and etiquette lesson about onsens, so I was prepared to properly wash myself and sit quietly in the hot bath and relax. I get to the washing area, I'm completely naked, sitting on a little plastic stool, rinsing the soap off when all of a sudden a lady wearing the hotel uniform stood over me and started barking orders or something at me. Obviously, I didn't understand what she was saying, but she just kept yelling something and then just walked away. It's quite frightening to be wet and naked, sitting below waist level and being yelled at in a foreign language. But that wasn't the end of the unpleasant experience. Instead of the onsen being peaceful and quiet, women from another tour group were just loudly yaking away. There was no peace and quiet to be found. The food here is terrible! We traveled from Tokyo to Osaka and never once experienced bad food except in this hotel. Foods that were supposed to be kept hot were cold, and foods that were supposed to be kept cold was at room temperature. I went to bed very hungry. Breakfast was even worse! I feel like the people that work in this hotel really don't care about anything - not the guests, not the hotel itself, not the quality of the food - absolutely nothing. I don't understand how they are able to stay in business. I highly recommend finding another place to stay.…

No westerners should go here. Filled with dozens of loud tour buses. Rooms are very outdated and dirty. Stained carpets, paper thin towels, exposed wires etc. There were 12 people on our tour only 3 would eat the food on the buffet. Very strict about timing of eating. Showers only have self held nozzles with no place to attach. Located in the middle of nowhere. Bottom line...don’t go

The stay itself was not comfortable. The service was bad and the experience was very terrible. 60 minutes limitation for dinner, which all the other place offer 90 minutes. Worst ever hotel in Yamanashi
