My husband and I decided on a road trip to Wye River as we hadn't been there since the bushfires last year. There was regrowth on the gums, some houses had been rebuilt and the pub was still there. A lovely bottle of rose with tasty goats cheese salad made for a great day out.

This hotel has spectacular views of the ocean and the service and food are very good. I had the fish and chips and it was excellent, tender and fresh. The wine list is also very good for a hotel. Accommodation is limited but clean.

We wanted a nice pub meal. The only options were a parmy or fish and chips. Other mains were ridiculous. $38 for a steak with crap like"artichoke puree" and "rainbow chard". Its a godddamn pub for cripes sake. Also, $4.80 for a soft drink?.......tell em theyre dreamin.

We travelled The Great Ocean Road without pre booking accommodation; it was easy to find suitable places to stay and the prices were comparable (around £75 per night for a double room). This motel was basic and shabby but it was clean and met our needs. The other hotels had pools, modern rooms and a lot more space but this,...

Food and view fabulous! Would love to keep this a secret however I am sure that people that stay in region already know how good this pub is we dined there two nights of our stay and were equally impressed both times. We are really looking forward to our next visit!

Paying for the view. Definitely not a hotel. Rooms very basic, slight smell and in need of a revamp. Very friendly staff and check in easy. Lots of hot water. WiFi patchy. Parking. Easy walk to the beach. Lovely shop next door.

Rooms are only three star but there is no better place for a relaxed stopover on the great ocean road. Meals are also great with fabulous views of the beach and ocean. We have made it a regular holiday for many years

We popped in for dinner. Beautiful, accommodating staff and the best parmie and fish and chips we've ever had. The road from Separation Creek to Wye River is closed at the moment, but ensure you make the detour to get there as it was absolutely worth it. Beautiful setting for a beer with a view. Thanks for having us!

What a fun spot even in the middle of winter. We were a party of 6 who enjoyed a fab Sunday lunch at the Wye river beach hotel. Parking is easy. Seating both inside and outside. Fantastic views of Wye river Beach. Service excellent and prompt. Menu pub style. All our choices were cooked beautifully and presented well. Our orders...

When does a pub serve a better coffee than it does a beer on tap. They need a descent beer on tap. There are some quality crisp beers around these days and they continue to represent mid tier marginal Brewers good as they are they are not great. Good for a coffee not so good a beer. Better beers on...
