This is one of my favourite haunts, my daughter suggested this venue for our family get together. I was surprised when we rang to book to be told to make it half an hour earlier, I took this to mean they were really busy. When we arrived we were the only table having lunch. The car park was full which...

We stayed in the 'Bede' room a few times and it's it just fabulous - the bar and restaurant is also really warm and friendly and the food is outstanding - definitely worthy of its Michelin rating. Value for money is certainly what you'll get here! I will always recommend The Old White Hart and they've had a couple of...

Our daughter and two grandsons arrived at short notice from Hong Kong for the Chinese New Year School holidays. For a birthday surprise for her we booked lunch. We specified the bar as it was a novelty for the boys. A cosy warm welcome awaited us by a roaring fire on a particularly cold day. Staff were attentive and patient...

Lovely food with good service and polite staff. Stayed overnight in a lovely room with a large jacuzzi bath. English breakfast was superb. Can't fault a thing. Owner was friendly and welcoming. If you want a relaxing weekend just chilling out then this place won't disappoint. I would highly recommend this establishment.

A lovely pub with rooms. We stayed for a friend's birthday party being held in the pub, which was excellent. Very helpful and friendly staff and a great room which had just been decorated. The bed was so comfortable and the room had everything we needed for our one night's stay. The breakfast was included and I had the full...

We came here for a mid week lunch, the newly extended restaurant was filling up fast at 12:30!! Menu is that of a typical quality village Pub, with an added daily specials board. Though obviously busy, service was efficient, the food was well portioned, quality home made fayre - though plates would benefit from garnishing. Excellent value for money, would...
