Stayed for two nights...really enjoyed the 8 course Taster-Menu on the first night...the food was well presented and absolutely delicious. The bedroom was okay.. Mattress Very comfortable and although the room was road facing, we slept very well. Dead flowers in vase not removed and replaced. Breakfast was average but acceptable. The gardens are beautiful and lovely to sit out...

First impressions were not good, forecourt littered with A boards, reception area just plain awful, room incredibly small. Beds were heaped with numerous cushions but nowhere to put them when you slept. Chair in front of wardrobe so it was difficult to unpack and hang clothes.. Good that's the negatives out of the way! On the plus side, room was...

We stayed with you at the start of our journey north to Deeside for a week on holiday. We asked for and were pleased to be allocated room 4, and our boys thoroughly enjoyed the bunk beds. The food was all that the photographs on the website suggest it might be, and the warmth and welcome hospitality of your staff...

Stayed here for my 2nd night on walking Hadrains wall. Was just what I needed after a long day of walking, a comfortable, clean and decent nights sleep. Hotel went out of their way for me - picking me up and dropping me back on the route the next morning. Only small point - wish I had a bath in...

Three night Secret Escapes deal but booked as two separate packages which seemed to offer best value. However, didn't fancy tasting menu twice, good as it was, so emailed prior to see if we could change one night to standard menu. Absolutely no problem. Given some of reviews about downstairs rooms also asked for something quiet upstairs and were allocated...

We knew we would be on the ground floor as we had the dogs, but we were a little dissapointed that we were in room 13, a room for disabled customers. The room was not to our taste terrible bed throws and too many cushions, really no need. We managed not to use...

Stayed here for 2 nights on the secret escapes deal which was good value, however, the front of house does need attention as it was far from welcoming. The manageress was clearly having a bad day and lacked any people skills, to the extent that if we hadn't pre booked we would have gone elsewhere- perhaps she lacks self awareness....

We have just returned from 1 night's stay here. We had a deal which gave us the 8 course taster menu and bed and breakfast for £99 in total, which was amazing value. We also each had the wine package at £25 a head which enhanced the meal superbly - all the wines were very well chosen. Like an earlier...

We stayed for 2 nights and we were really impressed with the food. Very tasty great choice of local produce. I was disappointed that the staff did not interact more with the customers, some of their English was not great. We took our dogs and they were made very welcome, extra towels, dog biscuits and a fleece rug. When you...
