Heard about these burgers and went with er indoors to check if they were as legendary as chef/managers (self proclaimed) bowling! We weren,t disappointed, tasty huge double stack burgers, great chunky crispy chips and a suprisingly really nice side salad finished us both off to the point of only being able to look at the pudding menu! Well worth a visit...

This is a great little village pub in Nympsfield. Staff were friendly and helpful ( especially for food intolerances) and food was fresh and tasty. Pub was warm & welcoming. My only gripe was the loos were not as clean as they could be.

A lovely little country pub with fantastic food but could do with a little TLC on decor and the facilities. The menu was great, steak amazing but the service was a little slow. Would certainly return for a second time.

We booked at short notice and were warned that service could be slow as a large party had booked the restaurant. This also meant we would be seated in the bar. The bar was warmed by a wood burner and locals were very friendly and welcoming. The service was slow as predicted but we did not mind as we were...

Really liked this place. Went for a Sunday roast and liked the pub. It feels like a proper English pub. Locals were there having a drink, it wasn't just a food pub (the back is mainly restaurant and the front is a proper pub where you can eat). But the food was lovely, and the staff were really friendly. They...

I decided to visit the Rose and Crown Inn after being a regular visitor to it's sister pub in Wooten under Edge (The Falcon). I've been going to the Falcon for a while now and the food and service is always impeccable so it seemed like an obvious choice to try the Rose and Crown seeing as it's closer. Upon...

We made an unplanned visit with the kids on a Saturday lunchtime and were greeted very warmly. Staff were busy but relaxed and friendly. The food was very good, well cooked and priced correctly. It was easy to tell that good ingredients were used, particularly the beef. Lovely atmosphere, will definitely go back.

Visited on a Saturday evening for meal with friends. The food was beautifully cooked and tasted delicious. Following starters (garlic bread topped with cheese - 4 pieces and chicken live pate - a very generous portion) I went for the 'special' - braised brisket of beef - wow! It was so succulent and plenty of it. My husband went for...
