What's more to say?! Agree with all the positive reviews and I can understand some of the negatives - I've been a customer on and off for years, and of course the pub has its ups and downs, but it's a friendly place, does decent food and, as I've said, currently offers several (two today - sometimes it's 3) excellent...

Had a great meal here yesterday evening. The five of us all had steaks cooked to our particular taste. All steaks and accompanying dishes were delicious. The service was friendly and attentive and in the case of four of us, it was excellent value for money as the brother in law paid. Seriously though, it was good value as the...

Good village pub both for having a quick drink or a typical pub meal. No particular frills or gimmicks this is a straightforward pub offering descent beer, friendly service and good food. A back room also services as the village shop, just the excuse you want to pop into the pub!

We have visited the Rose and Crown many times and are consistently pleased with the friendly welcome, relaxed atmosphere and range of food. The helpings are more than filling, the burgers are rustic and the onion rings are absolutely fantastic (although there were only 3 on our most recent visit which was a tad disappointing!). Visiting the Rose and Crown...

As visitors to the area , our local friends were very keen to take us to this restaurant as they had had very good experiences in the past. Since their last visit things had changed in the décor and sadly with the service and food. When we complained re certain disappointments on the standard and discrepancies of the menu and...

Booked a table at the rose and crown this evening at 5pm for a table of five, including a 3 year old. We had wanted to book for 5.30 but they had said that although we could have a table at this time they needed the table back for 6.30, so on the phone I said I would book for...

Visited The Rose & Crown for a family event on a Saturday evening in September. Lovely location, beautiful pub but unfortunately very disappointed in the food. All who had steak were quite happy although the presentation could have been better. A steak & ale pie that cost a staggering £14.95 was served in the middle of a plain white plate...

We called in for a Sunday Lunch and had a table in the busy bar rather than the restaurant room, as it was fully booked - a good sign. A good pint of local Cotswold Way was available and enjoyed and the food order was promptly brought to the table. We ordered the Braised Brisket and Ham, Egg and Chips...

The Falcon at Wotton has recently taken over this pub. We decided to go over and give it a try. The food was almost as good as the Falcon and the staff were pleasant but the decor was awful and the loos were dire and it rather spoiled our evening.

Three of us had lunch at this attractive pub, after a walk earlier this week.Staff attentive and welcoming. Beer (Elmers) excellent. Soup and chips outstanding. Salmon perhaps a bit overdone. Altogether an excellent traditional country pub experience.
