What you didn't expect. Not an old stable!!! A very warm welcome, a nice big bathroom and even 2 additional sittingrooms (of which 1 is an oversized livingroom.) Every day you can have the breakfast you desire. Surrounded in a area with Golfcourses, old buildings and distilleries, it is a perfect point to explore this part of Scotland. If you...

Thank you very much for this review. We will be full to the roof if future guests read this. Then we'll have no time to talk with them:-) Haha You know we like to talk! We are so fortunate that we have such lovely guests from all over the world on a regular basis. Best regards from Alyth, Scotland. Eileen...

A very good standard of bed and breakfast, our host Eileen was a lovely lady who could not do enough for us. We had to leave at 05:30 hrs to get to our event venue and she offered to get up to make breakfast for us before we went !!!!! We politely declined as we thought that was unfair for...

You were certainly most welcome to breakfast no matter what time! No one ever leaves this house without being fed! Thank you for the photograph. We were pleased to see and hear of your success on the Cateran Trail Yomp. Please do call again next time round! Thank you for taking time to write the review. Best regards, Eileen and...

This house is amazing. It's huge and very tastefully decorated, historic meets modern. Our room had a four-poster bed and a spa as well as a door leading right into the beautirul garden. Pity it was raining. Bill and Eileen are very nice and helpful and do what they can to make you feel comfortable. We enjoyed our stay greatly,...

Thank you very much for taking the time to write this lovely review. Sorry I couldn't do anything about the weather but it does help the lovely green grass:-) Hope you have a safe journey back home once your Scottish tour is over and we will see you return to Alyth and Old Stables someday. We spent two nights here during our vacation to Scotland. It turned out to be the best B&B we have ever stayed at. Eileen and Bill were fantastic hosts and very welcoming. We loved our room very much with the most comfortable bed and huge bathroom with a nice shower and spa bath. Breakfast was excellent and the homemade jams...

Thank you for an excellent review. I trust the rest of your Scottish holiday was also a good experience! It looks like we made the right decision when we extended the bathroom and added a spa bath and large shower cubicle. The space seems to suit our guests. The garden is beginning to flourish in the sunshine and needs some...

Last night of the Cateran Trail here. Huge bathroom with posh shower cabinet, easy chair and spa bath - and then the four-poster with superb mattress. Unique house, with airy breakfast room overlooking the koi and the bird-feeders! Nothing too much trouble to the no-nonsense Eileen! Truly outstanding.

Thank you for the lovely review Keith, I've only just picked this up! We've almost finished the new drive (I've put the pictures on oldstables.com/drive.html if you would like to see the progress and finished article.) I'll now have time to check the reviews and get back into the garden. I'm glad to hear that the Celebration was a success...

Dear Family Sinclair, I'm very sorry that the payment system wasn't to your satisfaction. You will understand this is requested so I'm not handling payments while preparing breakfasts. It was unfortunate that you were running late and that the ATMs were not all operational due to the flooding. I've been in this business for 40 years, this is the first...
