Well, at least the best Staff!! After driving all day, we arrived at night only to have a member of the staff run to our car in the drive to immediately begin taking care of our every need. As our bags were taken, the car was parked and we were shown to a sitting area where we were served hot...

We stayed here when we visited the snow monkeys. The rooms are tatami style so the kids got a kick out of sleeping on the floor with the bedding that they provide. There are two large onsens on the roof. Split into men and women. Halfway through the day, they rotate the onsens so you can experience both sides/views. The...

This review is overdue! My daughter and I stayed here after much thoughts and planning for two years. So glad we picked this hotel! We visited Yudanaka for mainly to see monkeys and didn't have much expectations about this hotel. Boy we were wrong! Being from Japan we have gone to many onsens but for all things considered this is...

This is a hotel with traditional Japanese rooms I.e. We sleep on futons and wear Yucatas. Spent one night in this hotel which has an excellent service. They provide pick up from the train station and a free shuttle to the snow monkey park. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, when I was there, the hotel restaurant was...

The hotel is located 10 minutes walk away from the station. It is also possible to walk to Jigokudani Monkey Park from the hotel ( 30-40 min walk to the entrance of the monkey park). The room had a really nice view and the staff was courteous. The room was a bit small for my liking but we slept comfortably....

A wonderful experience, from the pick-up at the station to the beautiful room overlooking the river, the lovely Japanese yukatas worn around the hotel, bathing in the hot rooftop baths as the snow fell, and the helpfulness of all the staff. I was geniunely sad to leave, as it was such an elegant and relaxing place.

What can I say, our stay at the Aburaya Tosen was an absolute joy. From the moment we walked in, and received a welcome cup of green tea while we checked in, to our departure the next day, we felt so pampered and comfortable. The rooms are beautiful, with many traditional details, tatami matting, sliding doors, and many thoughtful facilities....

We are here for only 1 night and we are very happy and satisfy with facility and service here. The price is a bit high but I think it's worth for money. They have roof top bar, very interesting. The name of the bar means snow, moon and flower, and price for drink here is very reasonable. Very good place,...

This hotel was an incredible experience from the moment we arrived at the station where a staff member of the hotel was waiting to pick us up with a shuttle to the hotel without us even requesting that service. We were greeted with a warm welcome at this beautiful hotel with green tea, shown to our beautiful room and the...
