This hotel was an incredible experience from the moment we arrived at the station where a staff member of the hotel was waiting to pick us up with a shuttle to the hotel without us even requesting that service. We were greeted with a warm welcome at this beautiful hotel with green tea, shown to our beautiful room and the...

Let me just start off by saying if you are looking at this review and you are wondering if you should stay at this Ryokan, I highly recommend you to just go for it! Room: A couple of my friends and I (a group of five) stayed at Aburaya Tousen for two days one night during our trip to Tokyo...

We loved this Hotel, the rooms were lovely we had a private onsen with lovely views of the river. We were expecting beds but had to giggle when we opened the door and realised this was a Tatami style Hotel. All good though our bedding was prepared while we were out for dinner. We had a good nights sleep and...

I've come twice in the past few years, both times as a couples splurge and each time has been absolutely heaven! I've happily gone out of my way to enjoy a mini-getaway here. The service is outstanding, the food's incredible and the whole place is so beautiful. I can't wait for my next visit!

I love this place. I've been here twice with my girlfriend and both times it's been hard to wipe the smiles off of our faces. The service is amazing! We were greeted with green tea and sweet beans. The room and hotel are amazingly well maintained. Two things we absolutely LOVE: The balcony bath, especially in the winter when the...

Breathtaking view from our huge window. Location was spectacular..very happy, Very traditional. Food was always beautifully presented as we dined in an exclusive room for 2 nights. Reception staff and hotel owner were very polite and helpful. Amenities in our room were a welcome unexpected untraditional relief. Overall we would come back again. Sleeping on a mattress on the floor...

We stayed 4D3N with Aburaya Tosen and it was a perfect experience. With impeccable Japanese service, glorious cuisine and all necessary shuttle services required for our trip made the stay pleasant and definitely children friendly. It is advisable to have half board - i.e. For the ryokan to prepare the breakfast and diner for you during the stay, especially during...

My wife and I spent a night here and loved it. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The owner of the place takes her time to meet guests and makes everyone feel welcome. We were walking up to Shibu Onsen and she offered us a ride (we thanked her profusely since we just wanted to walk, but that was...

YUDANAKA AND ABURAYA TOSEN Yudanaka is basically an onsen town in Nagano. I think all of the hotels and ryokans in this town has onsen. We chose to stay in Aburaya Tosen partly because it offered free rides to the Jigokudani Monkey Park and it offered personal in-room onsen. It is also very close to the park. The ryokan itself...

Found this place while we were looking for a nice place to stay near the snow monkey park. Located about 8 min walk from the yudaiba station. It's about two mile from the snow monkey park. You can walk the distance, or take a taxi from the train station. The hotel itself is one of the newer facilities in this...
