Hiding between all the big resorts that are in towns nearby San Carlos beach inn is worth a stop when you take the interamerica. Very small town with a couple of restaurants and close to the beach. In playa el mar you can surf ( beginners mostly) and they also have a surfschool. The beach inn has a nice building...

Charming, clean hotel right off the town square. Landed here by accident when our charter boat was cancelled. We were 5 adults and 4 kids. Rosa made us feel very welcomed and supplied us with extra dishes and kitchen utensils. We congregated on the outdoor deck which had nice views of both the mountains and the water. The kids loved...

Stayed here for one week in October. Paul and Rosa, the owners, introduced me, for breakfast, to an English lady who was traveling alone like me, discovering the country. We spent the week together! Good breakfast, really nice place, clean, safe, and "local". Bbq if addicted... In walking distance : 3 or 4 mini supermarketsand restaurants less than 5 mn...

Paul & Americo run a great hotel. They made us feel really welcome, Paul drove us to the shops for groceries and did a BBQ for guests one evening, on the amazing roof top patio. Our apartment was good, lots of space although we'd have loved the aircon in the bedroom instead of the lounge...it was hot! The town itself...
