We happened across this delightful hotel and found the service at Bosques del Lago impeccable! Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. We were treated like royalty and didn´t want to leave. They offered the most services and nicest accommodations at the best price of any of the hotels we have stayed at during our trip to Costa Rica. The complementary breakfast was incredible!!!! Our young children also appreciated the beautiful pool and playground in the tropical paradise.

We happened upon this little gem purely by accident which made our stay here even more special. After a terrible experience a Hotel Villas Playa Samara, we were going to head back to San Jose. We decided to drive down the coast to a beach called Carillo because we had heard only good things about it --- the best being that the hotels are not allowed to develop on or near the beach - which only preserves it more. Just a short drive up the road from the beach we found a few little hotels and were driving past Bosques Del Lago. We couldn't tell if they were open or not because there was construction going on in front of the property. However, through the front arches we could see a beautiful landscape and a very inviting pool. We walked in and spoke with the girl at the reception who was most attentive and pleasant. She called the manager and he showed us a room that was absolutely gorgeous and so clean you could practically eat off the floors (I'm a clean freak!). The pool was absolutely beautiful and pristine. Needless to say, we parked ourselves at Bosques del Lago and decided that we would definitely come back. I also have to mention that they have an gorgeous house that fits 16 to 20 people. The house has its own pool and jacuzzi. We also decided we were coming back with family :] ! The other important item I forgot to mention is a free service they call a "super trailer." A "super trailer" is an actual trailer that they will drive down to the beach. It is only meant for guests. The trailer has tables, chairs, beach chairs, and toys for the kids. It also has a private bathroom and a shower to take off the salt water. We could not have felt more spoiled in our lives! I have never heard of anything like it and it was so convenient and wonderful. In closing, if you are looking for a wonderful place to stay with a wonderful staff -- this is the place for you!
