I stayed at this lovely hotel with my family. We enjoyed our stay very much..service was really good & the buffet dinners at night were great..altho I would have liked to see some English descriptions of foods. The views from our rooms were fantastic & I even got to see snow..something I have not seen for many years! My son...

Stayed in Hakuba Highland for 3 nights with the family for winter holiday in Dec. The room is sufficiently big for 2 adults and 2 children, although the bathroom was standard small japanese style. The beds were comfortable and we managed to feel well rested. The hotel staff were polite and very helpful especially in providing information and helping us...

Whilst staying in Echoland, we taxied up to HIghland Hotel to use their onsen. It was incredible. The views are sublime! There were plenty of lockers to store your clothes. As this onsen is familiar with western guests, Tattoos are not too big a deal, but i would still check with concierge if you are concerned about large tats (I...

We did 3 days ski in Tsugaike and decided to take a whole day rest in highland hotel. They pick us up at the station 10 mins after the phone call. Room was spacious and it is a 和洋 type equipped with 2 heaters, air purifier, sofa bed. Breakfast and dinner is buffer types and alcohol drinks price reasonable. The...

A Day Spa is available (need to check the business hour. 5:30~9:00, 11:00~22:00 as of Jan-2017). It's small but awesome view is waiting for you! You can see the beautiful mountain "Shirouma Dake" while taking the bath!! There are 2 bath rooms (Inside and Outside). The dressing room is quite clean and the security locker...

Good. Clean. Pricing is OK. Communication good. A little out of the way but worth the cab drive. The view is amazing. Plenty of lockers. Don't forget to ask for a towel or BYO as you have to hire. Concierge staff are helpful.

My wife and I spent one night here whilst checking out the town and doing a couple of mountain activities. Location isn't great however it's only a ¥700 taxi from the station which wasn't a big deal. Staff were very helpful (wife speaks Japanese though so I'm sure that helps..) rooms were spacious but the beds were quite springy and...

Highland Hotel is located on top of a hill behind Hakuba Station, and it takes about 10 minutes walk to get from the station to the hotel. The hotel does offer free shuttle pickup from the station, you just have to call them when you get to the station. The hotel also offers free shuttle bus to the different ski...

There wasn't anything great about this hotel. Everything was pretty sub par-mediocre. To kick things off, the 3pm checkin rule is not a friendly way to kick things off with guests who have traveled 1/2 way around the world. I get it if you are full but when you're not, make an effort!! While the hotel was on the cheaper...

There are many vacation rentals in the city centre and close to the ski places, but this hotel - 5-min away from city centre, is more suitable for families and children. It is well facilitated and there is onsen on site. The best thing of this hotel is the view. If your room is facing the west, you can enjoy...
