We stayed for three nights during our ski trip to Hakuba. Since it was off-season, Nao gave us a free upgrade of the room. The hotel was very clean, had onsen and a big living room with tea and coffee for free. Nao speaks good English and is very helpful with information and reservations. A rich, yummi breakfast was served...

Excellent place for skiing vacation, The location is not far from ski park, you can drive about 10-15 minutes to any ski park around there or take a bus. There are 2 private Onsen in shower room. And my favorite was massage chairs that really good for my stiff back after skiing. The owner was very friendly and helpful ,his...

Eternal Flame is an utterly delightful inn for those snowboarding or skiing at Hakuba. It’s only a minute’s walk from a shuttle bus stop so the location is great. More importantly, the hosts (Naohito and his family) are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet and speak perfect English. Nao was always very happy to give us recommendations...

Although we stayed next door, we were invited to dine at Eternal Flame by Aki (who worked at EF) while waiting for the bus one morning with our three young children. Although neither my partner or I could be classified as 'foodies', we were both delighted with the whole experience - warm greeting at the door, invited to relax in...

We travelled from Australia in a group of 16 (8 adults/8 children). The hotel came very highly recommended and we could not fault it. The hosts were extremely accomodating (even baking a cake for the b'day of one in our group) and also doing laundry for us-both at no extra charge. They also collected us all from the bus station...

We stayed next door to the Eternal Flame during our 2 week stay in Hakuba. Although we did not stay in the BnB we stopped in for breakfast on several occasions. They offer a fantastic (and cheap about $10 AUD) 3 course breakfast with unlimited tea, coffee and juice. They also sold us discounted 1/2 day ski passes. The common...

Excellent location close to Echoland main street, rooms were warm and very clean. The bathroom was always spotless. Nice and warm building, even with the gas heater off during the day, room was still warm upon returning in the afternoon. Communal lounge area was very comfortable and a great place to meet other guests. Very good Wi-Fi downstairs in the...

We stayed at Eternal Flame for 5 days in January 2016, and couldn't have been happier with the experience. Nao and Kimi were excellent and attentive hosts, nothing was too much trouble, from driving family members to the doctors, booking restaurants, lift tickets, and organizing our ski gear to be sent on to Narita ahead of us. Kimi is an...

Fantastic hosts, authentic experience, very comfortable and so convenient. Will return to Hakuba and will definitely stay at Eternal Flame. Homely yet authentic Japanese environment. Convenient to slopes, village, restaurants etc. Dining in also a great option after long day on the slopes. Hosts could not be more accomodating or welcoming. Unforgettable.

The accommodation was amazing at the Eternal flame. Nao and Kimi were the most wonderful hosts and would bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable. They have a huge knowledge of the the area, which restaurants to eat at and which areas to ski. The food at Eternal Flame was also beautiful, with some great wines also on the...
