I recently climbed Mt.Shirouma (2933m). First I thought to stay at a mountain hut at the foot of the mountain to start early in the morning. But I checked carefully near-by hotels and found this one. This is a very beautiful house and 6 course dinner was superb. Next morning they gave me a ride to the departure point Sarukura....

I recently stayed at Grove Inn Skala for one night. What a delightful inn. The service was exceptional. The innkeeper and his family were extremely welcoming and accommodated my every need. The hotel is clean and well maintained. I was given a recently renovated bedroom and couldn't be happier with the comfort level. The renovation is superb.

We have just returned from staying for 8 nights at Grove Inn Skala. There are not enough adjectives to describe how wonderful our experience was. We were a family of 7 travelling together which included our 11 month old Grand daughter. Any concerns that I had about taking a baby to the snow were quickly alleviated when I saw Osamu...

We stayed at Skala for 10 days in January. It is hard to know where to begin in describing this place and the people who run it. We stayed in two traditional tatami rooms each with their own bathroom. We are two adults and two teenagers. The ski shuttle bus is about 20 metres from your front door and we...

This is my second time staying at Grove Inn Skala. The place & people are still as lovely as 2 years ago. We totally felt like at home. Our triple room is decent in term of size & we loved chilling at the living room (common room), where we shared with other guests on snowboarding stuff and anything about the...

Wow, what an amazing place! We spent 1 week here and didn't want to leave. We booked this place because of the fantastic and flawless reviews it had and it defiantly lived up to every single one of those positive reviews. This place is run by a beautiful Japanese family, they're so welcoming, caring and do everything they can to...

My partner and I had such an amazing time staying at Skala. We not only felt so welcomed by the lovely couple who run it, but also had fantastic breakfast and dinner. Convenient to restaurants, shops and shuttle bus stops. We are coming back again next year for sure!

My husband and I visited the grove Skala inn for three nights. This place is so lovely, the owners are the most genuine loveliest people I have ever met they are helpful and very welcoming. The inn is tucked at the end of a tree lined road about 8-10 minutes walk to the Main Street. The walk is stunning and...

The hotel is a family running business. The host of the hotel are very considerate. He picked us up and discussed the ski gears rental with us. Then he took us straight away to the ski rental shop. The ski gears are in very good conditional and the price is better than the ski resort's price. The couple of the...
