My husband & I stayed here for 7 nights and in a Mountain View Room. The room itself was very big and had a lovely view. The bed itself was quite soft though which I found quite unusual for Japan. The shower & toilet where very tiny however the shower had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The...

The Ridge is a luxury boutique style hotel. We stayed in one of the recently renovated modern Western style studio apartments. We're a family of four with two young boys aged 7 & 9, so had the room set up as two singles and a queen. It worked really well with plenty of room for everyone, including all our luggage....

Hakuba is a quaint, very traditional Japanese village. Our family of 2 adults & 3 teens had a great time at Hakuba and staying at The Ridge Hotel. The rooms were amazing. The bar/restaurant fantastic. The skiing was superb. The staff were very helpful when asked. Fortunately, I can speak a little Japanese so the sometimes tricky job of getting...

Our family of 4 spent wonderful 10 nights at The Ridge in January 2013. The service and standard of accommodation was outstanding, and I am sorry it has taken me so long to finally write this review. The most outstanding thing about The Ridge was the service. Nikki, Chris and the team worked incredibly hard to make every guest's stay...

My husband and I stayed at The Ridge hotel for 5 nights and the rooms, facilities, location exceeded our expectations. (And the cooked breakfast each morning was outstanding!) But the real point of difference was the staff, our experience was their top priority. Firstly we had an email from the quietly efficient Mason before our arrival reassuring us he would...

A modern hotel with a Japanese twist. Communal areas areas are spacious and stylish with lovely warm fires for when its cold outside. Only ate here once but the food and service were good. The room was decorated in japanese style, tatami matted with large double bed- only thing missing was a bath- shower only- not a big problem. It's...

I posted a review the day I left here because I was so impressed by this place but for some reason it hasn't registered. So let me go again and say that this place was outstanding in every aspect. Great rooms, beautiful food served in the restaurant, close to the mountain and all necessary shuttle buses for other mountains, great...

What every ski lodge should like. Great architecture, lovely interiors, warm fires and sensational views of the mountain. This Hotel is what skiing is all about at an affordable price. Its a little bit out of town, transport was readily available and there are many restaurants and lovely onsen's to visit within walking distance. Also 5 minutes walk to the...
