A must stay, family run hotel in great location, literally 3 minutes walk to Happo One Chairlift. Mieko and her family were just brilliant, extremely helpful for any of our requests, BIG thank you - we felt so welcomed. A truly unique Japanese experience in one of the first hotels opened in Hakuba. From the hearty breakfasts, to a delicious...

We found this hotel through our travel agency and what a great decision. It's a familiar hotel pretty cozy with perfect location just 20meters walk to Happo One chairlift. The place is beautiful and the staff is lovely. Maiko and her family make your stay great. The dinner is authentic Japanese style. The rooms are fantastic and also they have...

This family run hotel is very easy going. Husband and wife speak English. This year it was ski in and out. Both Japanese and western rooms and the same for breakfast which is included. The free onsen is great at the end of each day. The wifi is a bit flakey in some rooms. Gary

Mieko and her family were so helpful and accommodating during our stay. The hotel is in such a great spot and very central, close to slopes, nice restaurants and bars! Rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable. Can definitely recommend and would ensure we stay here on our next trip to Hakuba!

I stayed with my wife and our 2 adult children for 5 nights from 2nd of January. Our host Mieko and her family gave us a traditional Japanese experience. We chose a plentiful and tasty Japanese breakfast but you can, if its too radical for your tastebuds, have western style. We chose western room and beds to ensure we didn't...

Our stay at Bousuiso was a high light of our first visit to Japan. The people at the Motel very extremely helpful and welcoming and I have no hesitation in recommending this as a place to enjoy your experience in the snow. The Onsen was amazing to relieve tried and aching muscles at the end of a days skiing.

What a terrific surprise! Bousuiso is such a beautifully run, family owned hotel. For Mieko and her lovely family, no request is too big or small. The rooms are spacious and suitably fitted out (both Western and Japanese style). The onsen in the basement is just what you need after a big day on the slopes. Whilst the Japanese breakfast...

We had such a wonderful week at Bousuiso and were treated with such generosity by the Otani family that we felt like part of the family and were sad to leave. My daughters were particularly sad to leave as they felt they were parting from good friends rather than hotel staff. We were a family of four, with 2 young...

With my 19 year old nephew James we were provided a really easy pleasant "nothing was too much effort" approach from our hosts Mieko-san and her family which gave us a fabulous relaxed welcoming feeling at all times. A Japanese/western buffet breakfast was always a great way to start the day. The lodge was approx 100 mts to the main...
